A new study out from, American Journal of Public Health, is highlighting that states with the strictest abortion bans also happen to be the states that offer the least assistance to moms and families.
- to qualify for WIC in those strict abortion ban states, a woman must be more impoverished to qualify for aid in comparison to women living in non abortion ban states.
- not 1 of the strict abortion ban states have any mandatory paid family leave policies.
The study also found that in 43% of abortion ban states access to contraceptives is made more challenging by not having laws in place to allow pharmacists to prescribe contraceptives.
"The degree to which these states fail to support their most disadvantaged populations warrants immediate attention and action," - Researcher Katie Watson, a professor of medical education.

I’ve lost count of the number of people here who cited 2000 Mules as their proof of election fraud.
Voters, election workers and their families were threatened because of it.
Now its distributor is pulling both the movie and the book, admitting the narratives were fabricated.

A drag performer in Idaho won more than $1.1 million in damages on Friday in a defamation lawsuit against a blogger who falsely claimed that he had exposed himself to a crowd that included children at an event two years ago.
The jury unanimously decided that the blogger, Summer Bushnell, had defamed the artist, Eric Posey, when she claimed in videos and comments online that Mr. Posey exposed his genitalia while dancing onstage during a pride event in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, even though he had not.
“Can this guy be arrested for exposing his genitals to minors?” Ms. Bushnell wrote in one Facebook post, according to Mr. Posey’s complaint.
Mr. Posey claimed that Ms. Bushnell’s online viewership soared as a result of those posts, while he “was exposed to hatred, contempt and ridicule.”
