The search is on again. But they are still looking at the wrong place.

In 1927 Mexico, during one of the fiercest persecutions against the Church in modern history, a young Jesuit priest named Miguel Agustín Pro continued to secretly celebrate Mass, hear confessions, and bring the Eucharist to the faithful—disguised as a mechanic, a beggar, even a police officer. When the government finally arrested him on false charges, they sentenced him to death by firing squad. On November 23, 1927, as he walked into the courtyard, Blessed Miguel Pro refused the blindfold. He held a crucifix in one hand and a rosary in the other. Then, with a calm smile, he stretched out his arms in the form of a cross and cried out: “Viva Cristo Rey!” (Long live Christ the King!) Moments earlier he had forgiven his executioners, saying: “May God have mercy on you! May God bless you! Lord, You know that I am innocent. With all my heart I forgive my enemies.” The guns fired. A second volley was needed. And yet the photograph of that moment—arms outstretched, face serene—became one of the most powerful images of Christian courage in the 20th century. Blessed Miguel Pro was only 36 years old. He was beatified by Pope St. John Paul II in 1988 as a martyr killed in odium fidei—in hatred of the faith. His final cry still echoes: Viva Cristo Rey! #drthehistories

Pope Francis died on Easter Monday, April 21, 2025, at the age of 88 at his residence in the Vatican. The Catholic Church is now in a state of Sede Vacante where there is a Papal vacancy. During this period the Holy Sea is administered by a Regency of the College of Cardinals.

She’s correct.
To the parents of all of these losers suddenly persuaded by the deranged musings of the man who murdered 3k American innocents: you failed. You were likely boozing, marching for some L-wing cause and/or simply ignoring your kids. You failed to teach wrong from right, a proper moral code, a love of country and perspective on America’s role in the world. Bc you failed, my kids and others are going to have to grow up battling these assholes for the future of the United States. I have every confidence they can do it, but I resent and judge you for making it necessary as opposed to fostering a life in which they can focus solely on growth, joy, love, family, hard work and creation. No point getting bogged down in it however, trust me when I tell you that the majority of Americans - this generation and the next - will fight to defeat the pernicious lunacy you’ve unleashed. And we will win.

Lahaina, Maui, has been absolutely devastated by this fire that ripped across the city, driven by Hurricane Dora's winds. Heartbreaking for Hawaii. 😢🌴

Having spent many days in Lahaina both working and playing, this is incredibly sad. I can’t imagine the loss of such a wonderfully historic place. There also appears to be loss of life and the estimates of property loss is no doubt well into the billions of dollars. #Lahaina

We should all be very afraid no matter the political spectrum. Today them. Tomorrow you.
You know, regardless whether you love or hate a candidate, when the government stages all-out war on him, you start to fight back to protect YOUR own rights as a voter. You stand for the ability to choose whom YOU pick as your leader, not THEM. #Tyranny nytimes.com/2023/06/07/us/po…
