Strengthening the Foundational Stage through NEP 2020 | Day 1 The Department of Elementary Education (DEE), NCERT, commenced a three-day Orientation Programme for National Bal Bhawan instructors and staff on the Foundational Stage, aligned with NEP 2020, from 21–23 October 2026 at National Bal Bhawan. The inaugural session was graced by Prof. Suniti Sanwal, Head, DEE, NCERT; Prof. Reetu Chandra, DEE, NCERT; and Ms. Mukta Agarwal, Director, National Bal Bhawan. The programme commenced with an insightful session by Prof. Suniti Sanwal on the vision of the Foundational Stage under NEP 2020 and the importance of early childhood education, highlighting ways to translate the NEP vision into daily classroom practices. This was followed by enriching sessions by Dr. Sharbari Banerjee and Dr. Niyanthri M. on promoting creativity through arts and culture. Promoting Integrity through Preventive Vigilance! The Vigilance and Legal Section, NCERT, organised a Capacity Building Programme on Preventive Vigilance in hybrid mode on 21 October 2026, for Academic and Non-Academic Employees of NCERT, including NIE, CIET, RIEs and PSSCIVE. Addressing the programme, Prof. Dinesh Prasad Saklani, Director, NCERT, emphasised self-monitoring as an intrinsic moral practice. Prof. Prakash Chandra Agarwal, Joint Director, NCERT; Shri Rajeev Kumar, Secretary, NCERT; and Prof. Prabhat Kumar Mishra, CVO, NCERT, highlighted integrity, transparency, accountability and ethical conduct.
