I’ve updated my Thinkpad x13s to ARM64 Ubuntu 23.04 (dev. build) with customized Linux-6.3-rc4 kernel. GPU working, sound working, Bluetooth working, battery indicator working. It’s very close to a completely working ARM64 laptop to me now. Feel the vibe, check out the video.

Basic support for the #ARM64 based #Thinkpad #X13s might be slated for inclusion in the next #Linux mainline release, but seems a lot of things (audio, Wifi, PM) are not working well yet, as a #Lenovo engineer recently explains in a talk (skip to 30:00): meetings-archive.debian.net/…

Qualcomm SSC working on mainline Linux for the first time, with no proprietary blobs except for the SLPI firmware. Expect a part 2, 3 (and possibly even a part 4, there is so much to talk about) of the "Unlocking the SSC" series on -EMAINLINE hopefully soon™
