In July 1985, I was a member of @USMC A Co, 3rd Combat Engineer Bn, 3rd Mar - MCAS Kaneohe Bay which started the process of adding to the base camp at Kahoʻolawe. I recently rediscovered these photos of the construction. Last is a current photo from the web. 40+ years later.

Well I read Vance’s diatribe and with the history of President Trump regarding loyalty as my guide, I suspect he will be requested to resign or fired before year end. Look to see either Marco Rubio or Ron DeSantis as Vice President.

Here’s to the @brewers from our brewers. Introducing the Miller Lite Clinch Cans, filled with the very beer that was being made in Milwaukee the exact moment the team won it all.

As you may have noticed, NASA is my first love when it comes to aviation, and that will always be true. So catching the X-59 QueSST at NAS JRB Fort Worth today is something extremely special. This is my first time catching an X-plane!
The X-59 is an experimental aircraft developed by Lockheed Martin Skunk Works for NASA to test quiet sonic booms. It completed its first flight on October 28, 2025, making today the one-year anniversary of its first flight. How fitting to catch it on such a special day!

«Grande rispetto per chi ha manifestato pacificamente»? Ma sei fuori di testa? Sono stati loro a votare il governo che ha reso possibile questa distruzione. E ora pretendi che la condannino? Dovresti condannare chi ha permesso tutto questo!

Unreal! Unfathomable. WHAT A HAMMER CLOSE TO THE DIVISION, THE SEASON, THE PLAYOFFS, AND THE F'N DODGERS!
Milwaukee loves the Brewers beyond comprehension to anybody not from there. I have learned that over the years. Their fans so absolutely deserve this, and the road isn't over.
This team has been built brilliantly by Matt Arnold and the organization, and they have made few misses. Not in scouting, trades, development, or knowing who to pay before they get expensive.
Murph then comes in as the tone setter, the culture maker, and the pocket-pancake comic relief when needed. He cuts an image like a movie character, but he is an absolute first rate baseball manager in every sense. A baseball lifer, who was destined to never get this chance. But he did. And here they are. Headed to the World Series.
Ueck isn't just smiling up there tonite. He's dancin' a shimmy and saying "tolda ya so" with a smirk. This is a night that will virbate forever with Brewer fans and Milwaukee.
The hardest part now will be waiting a full week for the series to start. Then, the whole town will be on tilt. What a time to be alive!

😳 HOLY MOLY! Lufthansa’s Boeing 747-8i executes a MISSED APPROACH on runway 24R at LAX! The nose pitches up, and for a moment, it looks like the tail comes dangerously close to the runway—but there was no tail strike!

I won’t read past the paywall—another example of defense reporting locked behind industry subscriptions—but the headline is enough.
The Air Force just finished retiring the KC-10s, the only tankers that could move real strategic fuel loads, and is now handing four of them to a North African partner.
That leaves a force built on KC-135s and KC-46s that multiple Pacific-focused assessments already show cannot cover the refueling demand of a high-end conflict once distance, attrition, and basing constraints are included.
More KC-46s do not close that gap, and neither does the A330 MRTT the service declined to buy.
Do I have to spell it out. Wait... I already have. Multiple times.
When are the adults in the room going to say something?
The U.S. Air Force intends to transfer four retired KC-10s to a North African partner nation:
