🚨‼️ #mjtwt 🚨‼️ Given some of the situations we’ve seen recently, and with Michael 2 ahead of us, we wanted to start an initiative that could help us navigate social media more effectively when defending Michael. This guide takes inspiration from advice and resources shared by fans before us, with input from people who have been part of mjtwt for a long time and have experience dealing with these situations. Since so many new fans have joined after the movie, we thought it was a good opportunity to pass that knowledge along and help us become a more organized community. We want this to be a helpful resource, not a set of rules to police anyone. The aim is to stick to facts, avoid giving guilters and antis unnecessary exposure, and make sure our efforts to defend Michael don’t end up working against him. This is a community effort, so we’d love to hear your feedback, suggestions, or ideas for what else could be included. With only 72 hours left until we celebrate #Invincible25, today I want to talk about how this album was sabotaged by Sony, how TM (👿) knew Michael was about to become a free agent while still controlling part of Sony, and how much money was at stake given the enormous value of both Michael’s own catalog and the catalog he controlled. This video is also a reminder that Michael didn’t just fight for himself. Even when he could have prioritized his own interests, he fought for black artists to receive the fair compensation and recognition they had long been denied. He understood how deeply racism was embedded in the music industry and how artists like him were treated differently from their white counterparts. This was not just about how Sony didn’t want to promote Invincible. And then, just as Michael was about to become a free agent and branch out into new projects in music, film, and real estate, the second allegations came along. I’ve always found the timing way too suspicious. I can’t shake the feeling that there was more going on behind the scenes, just as Michael himself said so many times. It makes you wonder whether there were bigger forces at work trying to take him down and stop a black man from having so much power in the entertainment industry.
