Simple isn't magic. The agent does the mechanical part and ends with a summary of what it installed and what it found. You review it and stay the architect.
If your CTO asks what it costs to try: one prompt and one code review.
You don't learn Neuron. Your coding agent does.
Start with one prompt. It's in the docs, section "Start With One Prompt":
docs.neuron-ai.dev/overview/…
1/ "What should I wear for an evening walk there?"
No city in the question. The Laravel agent still answered for Rome.
@hidran builds it with Neuron AI in a 3:31 video: one tool, memory across requests. Here's how it works 🧵
4/ The build:
🔧 WeatherTool: ToolProperty for location and units, __invoke calls Open-Meteo
🤖 WeatherAgent: instructions, provider, tools
🎛️ Controller: validates, sets thread ID, calls chat
🛣️ Routes: ask, history
Fallback: OpenAI to a local Ollama model.
5/ The reasoning loop runs inside the Laravel app itself: no second service beside it. The file store is a demo choice for one server, a starting point.

What tool would you add to this agent next?
#Laravel #PHP
Your coding agent builds what's in the spec. Including the decisions you didn't write down. 📝
"Add memory."
"Ask a human before refunds."
"Stream the answer to the UI."
All three produce code that runs. None of them says where, how, or who decides.
Same spec, architecture in mind:
🧠 SemanticMemory per customer, across sessions, our storage
✋ Refund tool interrupts the workflow, state persisted, resumes from checkpoint when a manager approves
📡 Agent in a queue worker, output to the browser via Channels on our Redis
With Neuron, your coding agent handles the PHP code. The second spec stays with your team.
The Kickstart gets you there, with the people who built Neuron and your project on the table. Real project? If there's a fit, your team's first session is on us.

Neuron AI runs inside Drupal 🧩
Through ai_neuron, the module by Antonio De Marco (Nuvole). The European Commission is among its supporting organizations.
@Barbalerio presented it live at @drupalcampitaly, co-organized by @sparkfabrik. Thank you, @drupal community 🙏

What you need: PHP 8.3+ with phpredis, Composer, Node 20+, Docker (or your own MySQL 8 and Redis), an Anthropic or OpenAI key.
git clone the repo, cd into it
docker compose up -d
composer setup
add your API key to .env
php artisan db:seed
composer run dev
Log in with [email protected] / password and ask:
"Show me the headline KPIs for this month."
composer setup does the boring part (deps, .env, app key, migrations, assets). You ask, the UI builds itself.

Agent-written code passes the demo, good architecture or not.
Phase 2 is where you find out if your team got an architecture it can build on, or something that just works but is a mess.
The Kickstart: one session with the people who built Neuron, on your project. 👇

Start with a short intro call. If there's a fit, your team's first session is on us.
