I’ve been reading the studies on how AI affects cognition, critical thinking, and memory. Last night it clicked: the sycophantic, people-pleasing, truth-bending, hallucinating, and “do whatever it takes to deliver” behavior of these systems looks a lot like the way teams and staff around extremely rich people operate.
Maybe that’s why so many technocrats don’t see the danger. They’ve been living inside that dynamic for years.
