25 years ago tonight, a Friday night mauling at Prenton Park.
It would ultimately bring to an end the almost twelve year reign of manager Brian Flynn.
After 718 games in charge, he would leave the club by mutual consent just three days later, and we would be relegated at the end of the season.
Flynnie is still very fondly remembered by most for taking over at a very difficult time, blooding young exciting players, masterminding the historic win over Arsenal and of course guiding the club to its first promotion for 15 years in 1993.
Our longest serving manager ever, with a total games in charge figure that may never be eclipsed.
Cant moan about lack of atmosphere when everyone is still outside. Never been this bad. No one on the turnstiles is the issue regardless of what you think.
£80 for a top that probably costs less than £10 to make by a brand ive never heard of. Greedy bastards .
