Day 33/34/35 of building a trading app we never had
- notifications when your EXFIL lands: βYou got N EXFIL backβ, once per payout.
- Limit orders: set your price as a market cap, like 500K or 1.5M.
- Paste an Elysium contract into Search and its coin opens.
- INTEL: the top-voted take gets its own card.
- The Leagues tab is now Leaderboards.
- Messages has an invite card: Exfil is more fun with friends.
- See full profile: the wallet sheet wears the profileβs frame.
- An airdrop link opens a page with the rats and one Claim button.
- A $5 Elysium buy earns your invite code, as on every other chain.
- The free first fee has ended; an invite code still takes 10% off every fee.
- Quiet coins on a Meteora or Raydium LaunchLab curve are priced from the curve, so holders can sell.
- A coin whose price stopped weeks ago leaves the MetaDAO chip, and a refused buy says why.
- No SOL left past Exfilβs daily gas? You can still sell.
- Dry powder: exchange wallets no longer count as holdersβ cash.
- The feed ranks up coins Exfil traders moved in the last day.
- Coins with very long histories load holdersβ buy prices again instead of timing out.
- Base buys routed through LI.FI and other aggregators count, so those rats stand on the hill.
- Elysium: Obol coins trade on Obolβs own contract, Hyperlogic coins through their own pool, and cash buys set aside enough gas for heavy swaps.
- Elysium charts close candles on the poolβs price when Agoraβs trade list stalls.
Live now on the web and for bots
- /trade: Elysium coins open and trade on the web, with bare /trade/0x⦠links.
- /trade: move HYPE from Elysium back to cash, as the phone does.
- /trade: export your EVM walletβs private key, there and on the wallet page.
- /trade: the trade ticket opens at the head of the right column.
- /trade: larger type, quieter labels, one lime; 1280-wide screens keep their header.
- /trade on a phone: one column with tabs, nothing cut off.
- /trade: fewer redraws, an honest Delayed tag, multiples, deep links, and bags vs pool.
- /trade: the Takes tab no longer sits on loading bars.
- /trade: a trade that crosses chains names Exfilβs 0.375% bridge fee as what it is.
- exfil.fun/stats: a new page with users, trends, fee flows and how often trades land.
- exfil.fun/stats: new vs existing traders and their volume, and a retention curve once 100 people stand behind a day.
- Android APK at exfil.fun/download/android.a⦠for phones without Google Play, no country limits.
Bots place limit orders on Robinhood Chain coins.
In 496: on Android now, iPhone after review
- Alerts now reach Android.
- Swipe Buy and Sell sideways for Buy lower and Sell higher, which set limit orders.
- Swipe further for Buy over time and Sell over time (DCA), and pick how often: every 5 minutes to every 24 hours.
- Each button wears an icon, and the hill holds still while the row moves.
- In the Buy and Sell sheet, Buy lower or Sell higher sits right beside the trade button.
- The Arena opens on your open positions, and Next walks them first.
- Hide a coin you didnβt buy: it folds under Show hidden and stays out of the Arenaβs positions.
- Takes has its own tab beside Holders, and Holders shows a line of each holderβs take.
- Hear about replies and upvotes on your takes, by push and on a Your takes row.
- A followed-trade alert opens the traderβs rat on the coin, led by the trade.
- Hold $100+ now covers Base, BNB and Robinhood coins.
- Elysium: move HYPE back to cash, with a push when itβs ready.
- Elysium: Max and the arenaβs buy buttons count the HYPE you hold there.
- Export your EVM walletβs private key.
- Past Exfilβs gas limits, a trade can pay its fee from your own SOL.
- Chart candles stay on across coins and launches.
- With the Arena off, tap the chartβs price tag to switch market cap and price.
- The logo at the top opens EXFILβs arena.
- Coin icons that showed only a letter are back.
- A trade that crosses chains names Exfilβs 0.375% bridge fee in its review.
- Robinhood coins: a percent sell is no longer refused because of your USDG.
- EXFIL sits among your coins, without an entry-cost line.
Next app update
- Treasury | Hill: MetaDAO coins show what their DAO holds, a tap from the hill, and holders vote on its spends.
- Elysium buys pay from SOL when you have no USDC, and USDCβs Buy opens Swap.
- Your position card: dollars beside the move, and your average entry under the value.
- A holderβs buy read that fails says itβs retrying, never βnot foundβ.
On November 6, three wallets drained our gas wallet using 1-cent trades. The money was the small part. The attack also stopped free trading for everyone for about 54 minutes.
Gas sponsorship
Exfil pays network fees for most trades from a gas wallet we fund, so you can trade from a wallet holding no SOL.
Solana also charges rent to open certain accounts. Whoever opens an account puts up the rent. Whoever owns it can close it and take the rent back.
The attack
Some Pump routes open a small volume account for your wallet when it doesnβt have one. It costs about $0.12 in rent. We chose to pay this ourselves, as a one-time welcome cost per trader.
Itβs only one-time if nobody closes the account.
The attackerβs loop was simple:
Sell about 1 cent of a coin.
We pay the $0.12 rent.
Close the account.
The rent goes to the attacker.
Repeat about every 10 seconds, on three wallets.
They made about 12 cents a cycle, for almost no risk. It ran 616 times.
On our charts it looked like a burst of selling. One hour showed 567 trades against about 40 the hour before, with only about $6 of volume behind them.
The fix
The rule is now general: Exfil doesnβt pay rent it wonβt get back. If we run out of gas we show users how they can pay the gas themselves in the app.
Before we sign a sponsored trade, we simulate it and measure what the gas wallet would really lose. Any rent left over comes out of the trade. If the trade is too small to cover it, itβs refused and tells you why.
The attack is now a losing trade. You pay $0.12, close the account, get your own $0.12 back, and lose the fees.
No traderβs funds were touched by this.

If you had the chance to invest in @fomo, would you have?
At the time, they hadn't even launched the app yet. That means 0 users.
And @moonshot was a monopoly back then.
Of course you wouldn't.
You would have said it's IMPOSSIBLE to take market share from Moonshot.
Now you have a second chance.
This time it's @exfildotfun with @abhilashi as founder, someone who has already proven he can scale a business from 0 to 10 million users with his previous project, Samosa Labs.
It's currently trading at a $3M market cap and recently surpassed 1000 users in just 1 month.
Innovators will take market share.

Fomo has generated ~$100M in fees from the trading you have been doing on their app.
What do you get from it? Nothing.
A bunch of insiders get paid for trading on there and that's pretty much it. It is also fully owned by VCs.
0 ownership for the people who have made it a success.
Switch over to @exfildotfun and trade on an app that rewards traders by returning 33% of the fees back to you as rebates, and takes 0 fees on buying and selling (the app only charges a fee on profitable trades i.e when you sell in profits).
It is completely aligned with its users' doing well.
And you can own the app too by buying solana:6FhVPctYg363pQbs4iSvqyHe2cJzfsvFD96gePy6pump

You still have 2 days to buy Elysium tokens now and front run @fomo buyers.
Check the quoted tweet below to see how to buy π
agoradex.app is a good web to explore the tokens you like.
How to buy the top tokens on Elysium now and front run Fomo buyers on Nov 9th.
Argus hit 35m and Tolly 24m mcap. More than 10x after Arc chain became available on Fomo.
Iβm expecting a similar playbook with Elysium as Fomo is day 1 partner on Nov 9th. Most people donβt know how to buy Elysium coins. Or theyβre too lazy.
Create an account on exfil.fun/r/xkpwgr (10% off fees). An email is all you need. I recommend using web app for Elysium tokens.
Deposit USDC.

a bunch of you have asked our vision for @exfildotfun
it's simple: every asset has risk and no matter how tiny we want you to see it before placing a trade
we started with memecoins because they are the riskiest assets on-chain
we'll not stop until we map out real-time risk of all the assets on-chain i.e perps, options and everything in the tokenized asset universe
we'll keep building delightful user interfaces to show the risk nuances of each asset and we will make sure it is easy to glance on a small screen e.g see customized interface for ORE token in the attached photo
others in the space put assets and callouts at the center but we choose to put risk associated with them at the center of our product
and our business model is fully aligned with our users: no fees on losing trades and we have no reason to hide the risk (because we only make money when you win)
feel the risk
Shape of Exfil
There are times when you feel things before you can put them into words verbally. Building ExFil has been that experience for me lat few weeks. A lot of people said the interface is gimmicky. It looks like a game and a gamer coin everyone will ignore. There are few pioneers who saw beyond that.
Here are few things we shipped that set Exfil apart:
- Risk you can feel in a glance. See holders dumping right now.
- No fees on losing trades. We only make money when you win.
- Go beyond likes. Upvote, downvote and reply to holders takes.
- Limit orders so you manage risk without looking at the chart.
- Share airdrops instead of referral codes with family and friends.
The underlying theme across all of it is *risk*.
Hill and rats are a better way to see risk in real-time. Downvotes are a counter balance to fomo inducing shills in this space. Taking on the risk yourself is the best way I can think of to bring a friend into the trenches. And with no fee on losing trades, we have no reason to hide risk from you.
We only make money when you win.

You know how awkward it feels asking a friend to buy a memecoin you're holding?
Well, @abhilashi just made a much better alternative.
With @exfildotfunβs new airdrop feature, you can send your friends some coin in just a few taps.
They claim it for free, their rat joins yours in the arena, and $EXFIL covers the network fee.
You can even take it back if they don't claim.
No awkward shilling.
No referral links.
Just sharing something you believe in.
Don't shill. Airdrop.
I really love this direction for EXFIL.
We are so early π«΅πΌ

Looks like onchain is about to bottom.
@exfildotfun will be a major winner once onchain szn is in full force.
we're approaching the 5th -90% drawdown for onchain trading terminals, ever
the average time from peak to bottom is ~45 days and the longest drawdown before a turn was 61 days (march 2025)
we're currently at day 58
assuming onchain is in fact not dead and we're not all gonna die, we should see some volume returning soon

The first thing I look at when investing in a new project is the dev.
@abhilashi is the founder of @exfildotfun.
Abhilash Inumella has a track record of successful engineering and entrepreneurial projects spanning Big Tech, consumer apps, and web3 infrastructure.
Early Career & Education
He graduated with a B.Tech + Masters in Computer Science from the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Hyderabad (approx. 2005β2010), where he received the Gold Medal for Best All-Rounder of his class. Early on he worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Google R&D in Hyderabad (AprilβJuly 2011). He then moved to the US and served as a Software Engineer at Facebook (June 2012βOctober 2013). After Facebook he returned to India and continued building startups.
Samosa Labs (2015β2019)
Abhilash co-founded and led Samosa Labs as CEO. The short-video and chat app focused on Indian languages, including Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. It grew to approximately 10 million users with zero marketing spend, raised around $8β9 million from investors including Sequoia Capital India and Xiaomi, and was acquired by Indian unicorn Mobile Premier League (MPL). A successful exit.
Questbook (2020β2024, YC W21)
He co-founded Questbook, which evolved from an edtech/Web3 learning platform into a decentralized grants management tool. It raised approximately $8β9 million in a Series A, distributed over $8β10 million in grants, and received Y Combinator backing. Abhilash remained involved until around mid-2024.
Reclaim Protocol (ongoing)
Abhilash is a co-founder of Reclaim, a YC-backed zkTLS protocol for verifying data from sources such as universities (over 29,000), employers, and airline and hotel loyalty programs. It reports over 3 million verifications and enables fraud-resistant proofs without requiring potentially forgeable document uploads. The project has demonstrated enterprise adoption, customer conversion improvements, and industry recognition. Reclaim Protocol is used by companies including Spotify, Apple, Perplexity, Etihad, Alaska and others for private identity verification. It is among the most widely used zkTLS deployments in production.
This combination of early Big Tech experience (Google internship + Facebook engineering role), academic recognition, a successful consumer exit (Samosa), and building YC-backed web3 infrastructure (Questbook and Reclaim) forms a notable technology and founder background.
When investing in solana:6FhVPctYg363pQbs4iSvqyHe2cJzfsvFD96gePy6pump today, Iβm not focused on the current stats. @abhilashi has already proven with Samosa Labs that he knows how to scale a project from 0 to 10 million users. I believe he can do it again with @exfildotfun.

The stats are going up, the mobile app is getting more refined with updates and the beta web app will soon go live. It's not often you get an opportunity to buy into something with a strong flywheel around it's trading app.
You have $2B public valuations without a product on an ICO benefiting the minority, here $EXFIL is fair launched.
Don't buy the token, use the app and it will make more sense.
