It's Monster House, a solid horror movie for kids. Plenty of good jokes and good performances. I recommend it!

their misery, would also signify the total extinction of that clan. I also suppose it was coming on the heel of some very excellent westerns, so it just struggled to compete.

I think relied too much on the horror of the troglodytes, the heroes just amble unknowingly towards their doom. Slowly getting chipped away at, the action sequences are passable, but the camera work is just static. It just feels very safe and clinical.

Pale Rider, as mentioned before is more like a "realistic" retelling of the story of Drifter. I think Pale Rider is very good, and it shows an evolution of Eastwood's work. It's neater visually, and with a tighter script. The action is dynamic, and the climax is excellent.
