Both Oregon and Nebraska need to start running the ball or else this game isn’t going to get over until 3 am
"There's not cornfields here. There's mountains and trees, and I love the nature. As far as football, it's different, you know, with coaches and players, we have a lot more talent than we did at Nebraska.”
I hope that quote is up on a wall somewhere at the Nebraska facility this week
It took about four plays early in the game for me to see that Washington was not mentally prepared for Iowa football. From what I can tell it might not have mattered anyways.

James Fulton Engstrom’s story became the miracle that helped lead to the beatification of Fulton J. Sheen.
In 2010, James was born without a pulse, heartbeat, or respiration. After 61 minutes of resuscitation efforts, as medical staff prepared to declare his death, his parents and others prayed for the intercession of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen. James then began to breathe, and his heart started beating.
Following a Church investigation, Pope Francis approved the healing in 2019 as a miracle attributed to Sheen’s intercession. Today, James is a healthy teenager—and carried Blessed Fulton J. Sheen’s relic during the Beatification Mass.
Blessed Fulton J. Sheen, pray for us.

The Cubs went 108 years between titles.
When they finally won in 2016, Game 7 went to extra innings, had a rain delay, and Cleveland had tied it with a two run homer in the eighth off Aroldis Chapman.
The Cubs were down 3-1 in that series. Kyle Schwarber came back from a torn ACL to DH in the World Series having not played since April. Ben Zobrist hit the go ahead double in the 10th. Then Kris Bryant fielded the last ground ball smiling before he'd even thrown it. It's the best Game 7 I've ever seen.

When we say things like “man this team would go to the World Series with even average pitching” it’s because
They literally would.
