At the very least, seems like more a plea from Turkey and Saudi Arabia for Iran not to attack them like they did in the spring.
Significant development and the most meaningful regional engagement seen during the war thus far.
That said, the generally enthusiastic tone from Iranian officials (while not surprising--a regional order that does not include the US has been an Iranian ambition for decades) serves to obscure one of the likely motives behind this trip: Saudi communicating that attacks on its territory are likely to bring more serious repercussions than in the past.

The silliness of all this posturing is that there's real dollars and sense things on the line for all involved. Is Turkey and Egypt really gonna mix it up over invisible lines on the map?

Not unimportant but more a performative dance.
Remember: The National Assembly in Ankara was supposed to approve an official map of Turkish maritime claims in the spring. It's October and it has not happened.
Why? That comes with real potential costs.
What Libya did doesn't

The Babcock hire feels like a Bizzaro world "Last Dance".
Rather than a last bite at the apple, go all in to win kind of campaign, the Oilers seem committed to flaming out in the most predicable, explosive, dramatic way possible.

How did the Jets lose this game?
They became the first team on record (since 1941) to lose a game with ...
* Holding opponent to less than 200 yds (199)
* Opponent having 100+ penalty yds (133)
* Positive turnover margin (+1)
Entering today, teams were 44-0 in that spot.

I guess they don’t call you “Mongols who should go back to where they came from” on a daily basis.
Virtually no one who is the product of state education in the former Ottoman world should say anything about the biases in someone else’s country. Seriously
Turks under appreciate the extent to which the Greek education system conditions Greeks to hate Turks as “barbarians” or “ Mongols who should go back to where they came from”. The result is an inability to deal with Turkey on a realistic basis as their own political culture/climate prevents them to compromise with the “barbarians”.
We need to make sure that this better known in Ankara.
Unfortunately, in the absence of a miracle this will lead to conflict between our countries as the issue of the islands is increasingly moving toward the center of our foreign policy/security discourse.
Not good.
