Palestinian and Sudanese suffering is so very connected. And not just in a “all of our oppression is connected way” but:
1. Sudan was hit with sanctions that affected our nation heavily because of our support for the Palestinian resistance.
2. The UAE, our main aggressor, has also long failed Palestine. Buying homes in occupied Palestine, signing contracts with Israel and even saying they’d deploy soldiers to help them with the genocide against Palestinians. Remember the aid that was bugged with microphones that they sent to Lebanon too?
3. Israel has been proven to be sending weapons to the RSF as well.
4. The USA, EU, UK and more have a hand in both of our oppression. Legitimizing our murderers and protecting them from accountability.
5. Both cases are a situation of resource extraction and settler colonialism to serve the American empire. Killing Indigenous people and sending invaders to steal their homes so they can get the oil/gold they want.
Sudanese people have been fighting for Palestine forever. Hamas leaders had said that Sudan never failed them. Sudanese women sold their gold to donate to Palestine while they were struggling as well.
Our plights are different, yet connected in so many ways.
