As a society we’ve been inundated with pessimistic/dystopic perspective, thru vast majority of media starting post WWI and ramping during and after the Cold War. As a consequence, we’re trained to see every change as existential/annihilation risk.
I don’t buy it. But I also believe that we craft our own realities, and I hope that this collective belief finds some kind of optimistic, purposeful counterbalance at some point soon
