Stop saying the Democrats will do nothing, that’s so unfair. Democrats do a lot of things. Genocide, for example.

Pretty obvious that Jensen is being set up as the fall guy to signal a reset of the Overton window on tech trade with China

It’s a conspiracy theory when you point out a handful of billionaires are working to push the democratic party right so as to align with their economic and ideological interests
We are leaving conspiratorial nonsense aimed at generating clicks and subscriptions in the past.
What we are doing is building off the massive wave and creating a real, durable majority in both the House and Senate that's going to do a lot of good for a lot of people.
Sorry but this stuff does not fly anymore.

So Palantir buying a Labour Lord was good value for their money after all.
Cash for access. Stinks.
Palantir’s Tom Watson, ex-Labour MP, wrote to Yvette Cooper last month saying the controversial US company could help boost the UK’s tech sovereignty, letters show. Weeks later, sources say the UK is extending its NHS contract for two more years

Canada’s 2025–26 financial results came in stronger than projected.
The $39.3B deficit was $27.5B lower than forecasted, supported by higher revenues and lower-than-expected program expenses.

🇬🇧 “Is it now the Labour position that a genocide is not racist?”
Green Party leader Zack Polanski confronted Conservative and Labour politicians at the London Assembly on Thursday after Conservative Susan Hall introduced a motion condemning the Greens’ decision to define Zionism as racism.
Hall called the Green Party’s position “abhorrent” and argued it threatened Jewish Londoners.
Polanski, who is Jewish, accused Hall of weaponizing antisemitism and challenged Labour members over their government’s continued military support for Israel amid the genocide in Gaza.
The Assembly passed Hall’s motion 19–3, with just the three Green members voting against it.

By 1959, women constituted 57% of urban transit drivers in the USSR. For reference, women make up just 35% of bus drivers and 13% of rail workers in the US *today* and obviously less so in the 1950s. The Soviet Union was an exceptional early proponent of workplace gender equity.
Nevertheless, the late Soviet restrictions on women's employment in certain transport occupations, justified by supposed risks to reproductive health, were undoubtedly sexist and paternalistic (I assume that is what OP is referring to). It's a notable failure in an otherwise good record on gender relations in the workforce, especially in relation to the west.
The US department of transport website itself acknowledges women's under representation in the field as a priority and is apparently pursuing various initiatives to address this issue that the Soviets resolved nearly 70 years ago.
