So stoked to have more infrastructure in our community - but how can my family safely cycle here from Silver Lake? We need the #LARiverConnector proposed by @nusafestreets to get us to this awesome new bridge!

yard signs are proven to be effective in local elections -- if you have a yard, especially facing a busy street, please request one and we'll deliver it to you 💞

pedestrians and cyclists are dying in record numbers this year in @LACity . It is time to ask @LADOTofficial to make it safer for us. Sign the petition below.
109 people have signed the petition demanding @MayorOfLA Karen Bass hold a public forum to listen to the risks we face walking and biking on the mean streets of Los Angeles. Let's get it over 200! Click on the photo to sign now! chng.it/NVvJ6Hw2L8

COP28 opens tomorrow with a resounding call to accelerate global climate action. As the climate crisis worsens around the world, #COP28 must be a decisive moment to act on climate commitments and limit global warming to 1.5°C.

“Our most precarious moments came when we had to walk from buses or trains to our final destinations. It seems pedestrians are not something some Los Angeles drivers are accustomed to.”

With daylight saving time ending please be extra aware that speed kills! Slow down and you may save the life of child walking or on a bike.
As daylight saving time ends ⏰ we will experience darker evenings earlier. Let's prioritize pedestrian safety. Stay visible by wearing reflective clothing, use crosswalks, and always stay alert. #DayLightSaving #FallBack

The real problem in cities and suburbs has never been that the cars we have aren’t good enough (they definitely aren’t). The real problem is too many cars, “driven” in large part by car dependency by design. Better cars won’t solve that problem & could actually help it get worse.

“Everyone knows the city is loud [actually, it’s mostly motor vehicles that are loud], and politicians have waged a long, losing war against noise. Now they have a new weapon: noise cameras.” Excessive vehicle noise is about health & livability in cities. theguardian.com/us-news/2023…

We need to show people who drive that when more people walk, bike, or take transit, there are fewer vehicles on the road, which means less traffic congestion and less crumbling infrastructure. Supporting different forms of transportation benefits everyone.
