I dont regularly do commissions mostly because of time but also im paid $40/hour IRL and no one is gonna give me $120 for a simple chibi that takes me 3 hours. I do however draw for enjoyment if I like anything. I also dont wanna charge that to friends, Id rather gift them art 🙇🏻‍♀️

The main way to figure out if something is AI isn't looking for mistakes, which every artist does, but how long the artist has been around, what WIPs they have posted, streams, timelapses, past clients, etc. Stop doing these sloppy "investigations" and harassing legit artists.

I'm generally of the opinion an artist should be willing to make their art whatever price they want. But brother your asking for 4 thousand dabloons for a single portrait. Unless Da vinci himself made love to your art. I really don't see a need for such a high price tag.

To this day, it’s still taboo for art to be commercial. People basically expect it to be free. But never doubt your worth. Years of experience and trial and error have gone into making it, so you can price it at whatever you’re comfortable with. In fact, I’ve seen that the higher the price, the more it sells. It’s just a loud minority who complains, and they wouldn’t buy it even if it cost a few bucks.

My illustrations take me a long time since I put lots of details into them. That peach drawing with bowser, Mario and the sushi took me more than 80 hours to complete. This baker peach took me more than 80 hours. I don’t understand why people are getting mad over my prices.
