Hey #lawtwitter. I teach 4th grade in the New York City Public Schools (BROOKLYN!)
We're trying to stock up so that we don't run into any of the issues we did last year. Any help is truly appreciated. Career teacher here - 16 years! #clearthelists

Several figures here aren’t federal results or NY-specific. The $472B combines US wide pledges: Micron's $250B is nationwide (NY site $100B) Anthropic's $50B covers TX and NY. The 48% murder drop is from NY's state run GIVE program (28 departments, Jan – May 2026).

The NYC DOE Should Have Sent My Child’s State Test Results to My Door With a Muffin Basket Instead of Expecting Me to Check Them Myself

The murder of a child is a pain no parent should have to endure, let alone from thousands of miles away.
Javits Frimpong’s mother deserves to say goodbye to her son in person. I just got off the phone with President Trump and he has agreed to grant her visa immediately.
All of New York City is mourning this tragedy.
I pray nobody *pays* this woman to be an education advocate. How did she go years without looking at her child's test scores? Parenting failure, not a public school failure.
In a devastating 1rst-person piece, NYC education advocate and mom Adriana Aviles tells how her son received the highest grades in math throughout elementary and middle school in Queens’ District 26, the best in the city.
Yet now in high school, she soon discovered, “He couldn’t solve basic algebra. He couldn’t do geometry. He couldn’t compute elementary-school fractions."
“My shock soon gave way to heartbreak, then anger. The NYC education system had betrayed my son to make itself look better."
“I failed too. I didn’t scrutinize his work closely or check his performance on state test scores because I figured if his report cards were good then everything was fine.”
“I looked back and discovered he was deemed ‘not proficient’ in math on a 7th-grade state exam.”

Genotype ≠ fenotype
I have seen a Dominican guy who was visibly black but was 80% European, this is why race is mainly base on how do you look like
some of these people swear they're scandinavian

Just drove all the way to Brooklyn to check out this store I thought looked really rad and had a few things in mind to buy and literally was looked at as if I couldn’t afford it and was told he could find something comparable for me. Wow, dude. You’re an idiot and just lost a huge sale. But y’all should go check out Art of Play in Brooklyn if you enjoy being treated like Julia Roberts character in Pretty Woman. For sure, check it out 👎
