That sums up Havertz and Gyokeres in the Arteta system
🗣️ Emile Heskey on Havertz and Gyokeres:
“I like Havertz's movement and what he brings to this Arsenal team. I watched him when he was at Chelsea, and I liked his movement, his link up play and everything about his game"
“Gyokeres is a little bit different to the way that Arsenal want to play; he’s not that brilliant at holding the ball up and bringing in others; he prefers to play on the shoulder and run into space, but that space comes at a premium in the Premier League. I was hoping it would work out for him, but you can see why it hasn’t.
"He's more of an old school type of centre forward. I wouldn't tell Arsenal to cut their losses, because you’re always going to need a backup with the number of games they will play, and you always need a player that gives you that versatility to play against a different sort of style.”
“I definitely wouldn't say cut your losses, but I can't see him being a regular, if I'm honest.” 🤔

Agree 💯% and have said this earlier!
Movement / separation are critical for Glock 9 is critical to deliver goals
He has to work on this as Mikel unfortunately won’t change the way we play to suit his specific needs
If Viktor Gyökeres wants to start ahead of Kai Havertz in Arteta’s current system he needs to learn how to move and open up for goal scoring opportunities.
Now I am not saying he doesn’t do it but Kai Havertz does it better and that’s why he is starting.
Let’s leave other attributes aside.
For you to score goals you either create goal scoring opportunities for yourself or be in good positions to be found.
This is true
@Arsenal
We are aware…👀
“I can’t fault the attitude of our players. We didn’t capitalise on the margins.”
Martinelli has been called out multiple times by Arteta for performances that weren’t even as bad as Havertz’s tonight. Yet Havertz missed almost 10 big chances tonight, and Arteta couldn’t even mention his name.
He can’t even hide the favouritism.

Declan Rice sent a signed Arsenal shirt to a supporter who is very sadly nearing the end of his battle with cancer.
A lifelong supporter. What a gesture. ❤️
