A consequence of @ontariotech_u saying supervising graduate students ≠ teaching? @fssh grad directors predict faculty may not be able to supervise if it’s not part of teaching duties & grad programs could collapse @drstevenmurphy @lorilivingsto17 @OT_gradstudies #ONstrikeU

Two years of pandemic stress. Being #overworked & undersupported. That’s not unique to OTU faculty.
But @ontariotech_u’s offer will worsen working conditions for SEVERAL years...long after the pandemic ends. That’s not a #FairDeal for us or our students #ONstrikeU #NotAboutPay

I can't (can) believe the university declined to comment. I guess they also declined binding arbitration when it could have avoided a strike altogether too though, so I should have expected they'd have nothing to say now.
