Union Road Transport and Highways Minister @nitin_gadkari has said that motorists travelling at up to 120 kmph on expressways should not receive speeding challans. He also suggested a 20% buffer beyond the limit, which could mean no challan up to 144 kmph on a 120 kmph stretch. .@astonmartin has revealed the Valhalla Spider, the open-cockpit version of the Valhalla Coupe It is the brand’s first mid-engined open-cockpit production supercar, and the company says it is the fastest open-cockpit Aston Martin yet. Top speed is limited to 350km/h (217mph) with the optional carbon fibre hard top or with the roof removed. The standard black fabric roof caps it at 200km/h (124mph). The powertrain is carried over from the Coupe: a 4.0-litre twin-turbo flat-plane crank V8 making 828PS, plus three electric motors adding 251PS, for a combined 1,079PS and 1,100Nm. The changes are limited to active aerodynamics and ESP calibration, which now adapt to roof-on and roof-off airflow, with downforce above 600kg with the roof fitted. New parts include a clip-in wind deflector that folds into 15-litre sill storage, a snorkel that is 35mm taller, frameless dihedral doors and a new carbon fibre Touring Seat as standard. .@India_KTM has launched the updated 200 Duke at ₹2,07,140 (ex-showroom, Delhi), a ₹1,552 increase. Ride-by-Wire, a bi-directional quickshifter, traction control and two ride modes (Street and Rain) are now standard. These features were earlier limited to KTM’s larger-capacity motorcycles. The updated TFT display controls traction control, ride modes and the quickshifter. Crawl Assist is also on offer for stop-and-go traffic. Hardware includes 43 mm WP USD front forks, a 320 mm front brake rotor and a wider 150-section rear tyre. Power stays at 25 PS. Two new colours join the lineup: Liquid Carbon, an all-black finish offered on the 200 Duke for the first time, and Slate Grey. .@india_kawasaki has launched the MY27 Z900 in India at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Deliveries begin today, 28 October 2026. It comes in two colours: Ebony/Metallic Carbon Gray and Pearl Blizzard White/Plasma Lime Green. The 948cc inline-four makes 124 PS at 9,500 rpm and 98.6 Nm at 7,700 rpm, paired to a 6-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch. The update adds IMU-based rider aids, including traction control and cornering management, along with a two-way quick shifter, cruise control and power modes. A larger 5-inch TFT display brings Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. Other changes include a revised trellis frame, updated suspension settings, new Dunlop Sportmax Q5A tyres and a new LED headlight and taillight design. .@IndiaTriumph has unveiled the new Tiger 1200 for India. The 1160 cc triple now makes 158 PS, up 8 PS, with 130 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm. The chassis moves to a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup with 200 mm of travel on Showa EERA Heightflex semi-active suspension. A new self-lowering function drops the seat by 30 mm when the bike stops, and with the accessory low seat, seat height can go down to 790 mm. New tech includes a Bosch 7-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus front and rear Bosch radar. The radar enables Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Assist, Forward Collision Warning, Emergency Brake Assist and Group Ride Assist. There is also an adaptive LED cornering headlight and a cooled phone compartment with USB-C charging. India gets two variants. The GT Pro has cast wheels, a 20-litre tank and a 250 kg wet weight. The Rally Explorer has spoked wheels, a 30-litre tank, TPMS, Off-road Pro mode and a 268 kg wet weight. .@india_kawasaki has launched the Z300 in India at Rs 3.24 lakh (ex-showroom). The company says Indian customers will be the first in the world to ride it. It comes in two colours, Candy Lime Green and Metallic Carbon Gray, and deliveries are listed as starting from October 19. Power comes from a 296 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin that makes 40 PS at 11,000 rpm and 26.3 Nm at 10,000 rpm, paired to a 6-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch. It rides on a steel tube-diamond frame with a 37 mm telescopic fork, a rear monoshock with adjustable preload, MRF tyres and petal discs at both ends (290 mm front, 220 mm rear) with ABS. Kerb weight is 175 kg, seat height is 785 mm and the tank holds 17 litres. Other highlights include a triple LED headlight, Z-shaped shrouds, a full-LCD instrument panel and a wide, raised handlebar. .@Italjet1959 is set to enter India. The Italian scooter maker has confirmed it will make its India debut with an announcement on November 3 at EICMA in Milan. Sales will be handled by Kolhapur-based Motohaus, which also distributes VLF Scooters and Brixton Motorcycles in the country. The India line-up is yet to be confirmed. Italjet currently sells two scooter lines globally, the Dragster and the Roadster. The Dragster comes with engines ranging from a 125 cc single-cylinder to 450 cc and 698 cc parallel-twins. The Dragster 125 and 200 are expected first, with the 300 possibly following later. Pricing has not been announced. Italjet is expected to sit above VLF, whose three scooters here, the Tennis 1500, Strada and Mobster, are priced between Rs 1.19 lakh and Rs 1.37 lakh (ex-showroom). .@BMW has announced the opening of what it describes as India’s largest BMW service workshop, run by Navnit Motors in Mumbai. The facility is on MIDC Central Road in Andheri (E) and covers about 115,000 sq ft. It has 53 bays: 23 for body and paint, 21 for mechanical and electrical work, 6 for service consultation and 3 for diagnostics. It follows BMW’s Retail.NEXT standards. The workshop has BMW-certified technicians, high-voltage specialists, advanced diagnostic systems and EV-ready infrastructure. Customers can book and manage appointments on the MyBMW App, review and approve recommended repairs through a service video, pay online, and track their car digitally from gate-in to gate-out. Solar power meets 20% of the electricity requirement, 100% of car wash water is recycled, and solid and toxic waste follow a zero-waste approach. It adds to BMW’s network of 56 service workshops across India, covering metros as well as Tier 2 and 3 towns. Equipment includes 6 airbags, Auto Hold, cruise control, a 21.3 cm Uconnect touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering-mounted controls and electrically adjustable mirrors.
