Lionel Messi is 39 years old and his last Champions League final goal was at age 23, he is the most overhyped big-game fraud in football history.
He spent over a decade at Barcelona and PSG doing absolutely nothing in Champions League finals while other elite forwards delivered back-to-back decisive moments.
You stat-merchants hide behind group stage tap-ins and Ballon d'Or votes because you know he froze on the biggest club stage for over fifteen years.
Absolute PR merchant

The internal power struggle between Christopher Vivell and Jason Wilcox is a glaring sign that INEOS still haven't fixed the foundational issues inside Old Trafford. One of them has to go.
Vivell pushing for Julian Nagelsmann while Wilcox favors Eddie Howe tells you everything you need to know about the disparity in their footballing ambition and talent ID.
Settling for safe, domestic-tier choices like Howe over an elite European mastermind like Nagelsmann proves Wilcox lacks the elite vision required to drag Manchester United back to the top.
Wilcox needs to be relieved of his duties before he sets the club back another three years.
