Another little detail in addition to the effort described, users pay trading fees on Binance in the coins they trade, so Binance's naturally accumulates all tokens they list.

Binance has begun recovering affected assets for users and continues to work with law enforcement, issuers, blockchain intelligence firms and industry partners to trace, freeze and recover additional funds.
The company has already publicly committed to cover losses through company funds in the prior announcement.
Binance has already reserved over $6.34B of company funds to cover this incident. $5B of these funds are already held in the exact token assets that were impacted. We are completing the purchase of the remaining amount by buying token assets through market channels and OTC channels. We are doing this to match the format of the remaining token assets and address any asset shortfalls. This step can take longer because some tokens may have low liquidity and OTC settlement also takes time. We will share more progress as soon as we can.
These figures do not include frozen or protected assets, which remain subject to ongoing recovery and verification. Currently, $3bn has been frozen, with thanks to our industry partners. We are working with partners and law enforcement to recover the frozen assets.We will continue to use company resources to cover confirmed shortfall and will provide further verified updates as recovery efforts progress. Ultimately, all user funds will be verified publicly through our Proof of Reserves.

Transparency is at our core: We are aware of reports that stolen funds have been routed through Bitget Wallet's crosschain bridge.
We are actively working with Binance and security partners to identify and disrupt illicit fund movements, including:
• Blacklisting flagged wallet addresses
• Real-time onchain monitoring & screening suspicious txns
• Proactively providing real-time updates on fund movement from our explorer to Binance security team
• Coordinating with bridge providers, liquidity partners & security teams to restrict further movement wherever technically possible
In addition to the above, our security team has been working around the clock coordinating with Binance security, blocking new wallet addresses from using our bridge services as soon as they are flagged.
Permissionless infrastructure does not mean turning a blind eye to illicit activity.
We have done the same for previous events, and remain committed to supporting the wider ecosystem in tracing stolen funds and preventing misuse of our services.

The reason why the market is down only 2-3% after the biggest crypto hack in history is simple: there's no domino effect.
Unlike FTX and other collapses, this won't trigger a chain reaction of bankruptcies, liquidations and further losses across the industry.
Money was stolen from the world's biggest exchange. Binance has the funds to cover it. Nobody else takes the hit.
Why would the market crash over an isolated incident involving the player with the deepest pockets in the industry?
No contagion. No bankruptcy risk. No domino effect.

BINANCE REPORTEDLY FOUGHT BACK AGAINST HACKERS IN REAL TIME, RECOVERING $823 MILLION IN USDC
According to an on-chain analysis, Binance’s wallet key remained functional even after attackers used a malicious EIP-7702 authorization to take control of the wallet.
Binance reportedly used its signing key to execute transactions through the compromised wallet, recovering $823 million in USDC.
The attackers had allegedly obtained 50 valid authorizations signed by the wallet key, with one successfully activating malicious code that drained 65 assets.
Even after Tether and Circle blacklisted the attacker’s address, the draining reportedly continued, including a $200 million USDT deposit swept just 100 seconds after arriving.
