Disabled people have been begging non-disabled people to do this type of introspection for years: admitting to the biases and discomfort you have around us.
It doesn't make you a bad person, but not working to challenge your ableism does. Chrisean Jr. has exposed how cruel society is towards disabled kids.
This child is making me confront my own internalized biases because I didn't how uncomfortable I am seeing disables children until his parents put him on stream 24/7. Trying to figure out if it's because I don't think he's getting help or am I just not used to seeing kids with disabilities this often.
This is actually a saying I heard from my Nigerian family.
Back in the day, some folks believed that people with gaps were liars and that the space between their teeth was where the lies came out.
Yeah and us being private has allowed @Anele to lie through that gap for years, uncontested.
