Robin Smith's unbeaten 167 in an ODI against Australia in 1993 was, for a long time, England's record score in the format.
A scintillating player at his best. A joy to watch.
RIP, 'Judge'. ❤️

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of legendary batter Robin Smith.
Known as 'The Judge', Smith played over 600 times for Hampshire and scored over 30,000 runs for the club in a career that spanned more than 20 years.
Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.

Another stonker of a week for us - gaining from the Conservatives and the Green Party in Surrey and from Labour in Preston. The media might not tell you this but the Lib Dems are winning all over the place.
This week's by-election scorecard 💪

For any Monmouth & Argyll Rebellion of 1685 Wargamers, I've created an old school FB group. We're thinking hosting a wargamers weekend for the anniversary in July 2026 near the battlefield. Depending on interest...

#otd 340 years ago was the skirmish at Bridport. The outcome was indecisive; Monmouth's new recruits achieved their objective.
This dispels the myth that Monmouth had an army armed with pitchforks but soldiers with the latest weapons.

We have a new member in the family, the Red Lion (Akage) inspired by a character played by the great Toshiro Mifune. A magnificent addition for Ronin or Test of Honour among others, besides being able to represent an Officer of Tosa, Chosu or Satsuma in your Boshin War games. 1/2
