⏰One of the most common barriers to exercise as a new parent is "I just don't have time". 🔵Thankfully babies love to move. And they love to be with you. 🟡One easy way to do this is to strap them on and take a walk or do some squats til they giggle.
To better represent ALL people I support, a name change is coming. #rebrand #omahadoula #omahamom #postpartumdoula #postpartumsupport

Our world needs hope now. Every time I meet a new baby this thought goes through my mind. New life means hope for the future. To all the hope growers right now: thank you and hang in there.
Have the important conversations now before baby arrives! #postpartumdoula #postpartum
Just ask, don't assume if you see a new mom who seems like she has it all together, that she is doing fine. "How have you been feeling since the baby arrived?" Then listen and help if you can. #speakthesecret #yearofthemother #postpartumdoula #omahasupport #maternalmhmatters
You are not alone and it is not your fault. Help is available. @PostpartumHelp has a large number of online support groups as well as a warm line. And many local therapists have special training to work with mamas. #MMHWeek2020 #MakingOverMotherhood @thebluedotprj

Unpleasant flash backs of a birth experience causing you distress? It happened to me and happens to others as well, even if your life wasn't in danger and no physical damage was done. #MMHWeek2020 #MakingOverMotherhood @thebluedotprj
What will people think? Will they take my baby away?? This is probably just the way it is, they told me being a mother would be hard. Don't you just love being a mother? #MMHWeek2020 #MakingOverMotherhood #NoParentAlone ##worldmmhday ##maternalmhmatters @PostpartumHelp
Isolated mamas are on my mind constantly. Becoming a mother is hard enough, doing it during a pandemic is just another layer of struggle. We need to come together and support all the new parents. #MMHWeek2020 #MakingOverMotherhood
I never got treatment. I didn't even know until years later what was making me miserable after the birth of my first child. I was working in the mental health field and no one knew, not even the trained therapists that worked with me daily. #MMHWeek2020 #MakingOverMotherhood
Every year I have been honored to participate in #MakingOverMotherhood campaign with The Blue Dot Project All week I will be focusing Maternal Mental Health. It is an incredibly important topic that is even more important with the current state of our world. #MMHWeek2020
I had the opportunity to continue my education this month with @PostpartumHelp I am passionate about caring for these families in the best way I can. PSI says it best: You are not alone. You are not to blame. With help, you will be well. #digitaldoula #omahadoula

Thanks ABC Doula & Newborn Care for this! Learning how to breastfeed lying down was a game changer for me. It took a bit to master but was so worth it after I got the hang of it. I only wish I would have tried... facebook.com/supportmamas.do…
