There is no Batman Part II without Matt Reeves.
He can take as long as he needs. The production will be there when he is ready.
“The Batman 2” has paused production as director Matt Reeves takes time to deal with personal matters.
“Production on ‘The Batman Part II’ has been temporarily paused while Matt Reeves focuses on a family matter,” a rep said in a statement. “Matt has the full support of DC Studios and we look forward to continuing the journey soon.”
The movie was originally set to open on Oct. 2, 2026, before Warner Bros. delayed it to Oct. 1, 2027. Then, in July, the studio pushed the film to February 2028.

Sebastian Stan on Matt Reeves:
"I do feel like Matt is truly like a genius of our time, and one of the very few people that I think is so unique and so specific, he has been at this for THREE years, I mean its not an accident like he really honed it and knows what he's doing"

Robert Kraft founded the Blue Square Alliance Against Hate in 2019. Its command center next to Gillette Stadium monitors over 1 billion social media posts daily via AI to track antisemitism trends, produce counter-messaging, and share data with platforms and schools. Funded by Kraft and donors (~$250M total), it focuses on Jewish hate and broader hate as a private nonprofit. As stadium owner he also barred Macklemore citing antisemitic rhetoric.
