In our parish, on All Saints Day, you can pull a name of a Saint or Blessed from a box, and are encouraged to learn more and become friends with him or her over the next year!

Family walked on the cemetery today, praying for the souls in Purgatory. Especially in the next days, but also for the rest of November we will repeat this.
Either we pray the rosary or the 100 Requiem devotion, a beautiful and easy way of helping souls.

Pope Leo XIV praises the witness of the Franciscan Martyrs of Georgia, who were beatified yesterday, killed in hatred of the faith by the native Guale people in 1597:
“Originally from Spain, they responded generously to the Lord's call to evangelize the peoples of the Americas, even to the point of giving their lives. Let us invoke the intercession of these martyrs for all missionaries of the Gospel.”

Good morning, from the category "Words that don't make an OUNCE of sense without the Traditional Roman Liturgy", I give you:

"All Hallow's Even" - the evening before All Saints.
But why "even"? Funnily enough it's not about the evening - in the Old Rite you often had a "Vigilia" - the DAY before a great feast already leading thematically towards the Feast.
Vigilia Omnium Sanctorum!

"But in the time of the Antichrist it shall be necessary to turn again to sacred scriptures, because the Antichrist shall not believe in logic, nor philosophy nor poetry nor laws, etc. Only with sacred scripture shall we make a stand against him. Therefore how guilty are we now, because no one cares about the Bible." -St. Vincent Ferrer
