I deposited 2,292 $BILL tokens into @MEXC . The token’s original network was Ethereum (ERC20), so I didn’t think twice about checking the network before depositing. Only after the deposit did I realise that MEXC supports BNB Chain instead of Ethereum for this token.
I immediately contacted customer support and explained the situation, asking them to look into it since the token was originally on Ethereum.
They eventually asked me to provide a return address, which I did. However, just before submitting, I noticed that the recovery fee was $20, while the 2,292 $BILL tokens I’m trying to recover are worth only about $12.
Seriously, what kind of exchange charges more to recover your funds than the actual value of the funds themselves? 🤦♂️
