Unpopular opinion: I’d rather make a phone call than text. A phone call is over quickly, I can get the information I need instantly and I can hang up and go back to my life Texted requires more time and energy, it takes forever to work things out and it’s an open ended conversation for literally ever I can’t hang up a text. Call me, tell me exactly what you need/want, hang up. 2 minutes tops. I have to mask longer texting and it’s exhausting

He asked me to help him hide his girlfriend’s body. I said no. He said “Then at least help me clean the car.” I still said no. Two days later the police came to my house. They said his girlfriend was missing and he told them I was the last person she texted. When I checked my phone, the last message from her said “He’s outside. Don’t open the door.” It was sent at 3 a.m. I never got it because my phone was on Do Not Disturb. He was standing on my porch when I looked outside.

i'm a high school custodian, and my one rule is that i never open a locker that isn't on the work order. thirty years, same ring of keys, same squeaky cart. last tuesday at 6:45am, a girl in a band jacket stopped me outside the music wing and said, "please open locker 212. i know it's not on your list. it's mine, but i forgot the combination, and my clarinet is inside."...

My wife was determined to have her cousin babysit our children. She trusted family more than some stranger, and I understood that, even if I wasn't completely comfortable with it. She assured me he was responsible and had a lot of experience with kids. The first few times he watched them, nothing seemed unusual. The children ate, the house was picked up, and he always said they had a good time. Then our oldest began acting strange whenever we talked about leaving them with him. One Friday evening, as we were getting ready to go out for dinner, our child pulled me aside and whispered, “Dad, please don't leave us alone with him again.” I knelt down and asked what had happened. “Did he hurt you?”....

SHE DIVORCED HIM FOR BEING POOR After 12 years of marriage, Grace left her husband because he couldn't afford the lifestyle she wanted. "You have nothing to offer me," she told him. He signed the divorce papers without arguing. Five years later, Grace attended a business conference. The keynote speaker was introduced as one of the youngest millionaires in the country. She nearly dropped her glass. It was her ex-husband. After the event, she approached him. "Why didn't you fight for our marriage?" she asked. He smiled sadly. "I was fighting for us every day. You just thought the only thing worth fighting for was money." She lowered her eyes. Then she asked, "Can we start again?" He replied: "I forgave you a long time ago. But forgiveness doesn't mean I have to return to the place where I was broken.

I’m 36, and a man I’d been texting for five days told me he’d forgotten his wallet on our first date. The bartender told me it wasn’t the first time he’d “forgotten” it. His name was Caleb. We matched on a Thursday, and by Friday he was sending me songs he said reminded him of me. He asked about my night shifts at the hospital, remembered that I hate cilantro, and once wrote, Text me when you get home safe. I mean it. I hadn’t had someone say that to me in a long time. On Monday, he suggested drinks on Saturday. Caleb: “There’s a rooftop place I love. I’ll get us a good spot. You’ve been taking care of everyone all week. Let someone take care of you for once.” I almost cried over a text message. That’s how starved I was. I drove myself, just like my sister had told me to. When I got there, he was already waiting, with a table by the railing and the city lit up behind him. Caleb: “Naomi. You’re even better in person.” He stood, hugged me, and pulled out my chair. For the first hour, I couldn’t find a single flaw. He listened, he laughed, and he asked follow-up questions about things I’d said days earlier. Me: “You actually remember all that?” Caleb: “I pay attention to the things that matter.” Then the bartender came by to see if we wanted food. Caleb ordered for both of us, the wings, the flatbread, and two rounds of the most expensive cocktails on the menu. Caleb: “Get whatever you want tonight. My treat.” I noticed the bartender’s name tag said Rosa. I also noticed that she looked at Caleb for a second too long. Her smile didn’t reach her eyes. An hour later, the check came. Caleb reached for his back pocket, and his face fell in a way that looked rehearsed. Caleb: “Oh no. Naomi, I am so embarrassed. I left my wallet in my other jacket.” Me: “It’s okay.” Caleb: “I’ll Venmo you tomorrow. First thing. I swear.” It was $168. I paid, because what was I supposed to do, make a scene? He thanked me three times and squeezed my hand. I went to the restroom to breathe. When I came out, Rosa was waiting by the sink, pretending to wipe the counter. Rosa: “Hey. Can I say something, and you don’t have to answer?” Me: “Okay…” Rosa: “He’s been here four Fridays and Saturdays in a row. Different woman every time. Every time, the wallet’s in the other jacket.”

A recruiter kept calling me after I refused to show my driver’s license during a job interview. The more they explained, the less comfortable I became. I recently applied for a remote role advertised at $120K–$130K a year. An agency scheduled a 15-minute interview for 5 PM. I expected a quick technical screening, but the conversation barely touched my skills. The interviewer kept their camera off and spent most of the call asking about my location, salary expectations, and availability. Then we discussed compensation. The recruiter had initially mentioned $120K–$130K. During the interview, the interviewer described a $120K base salary plus $12K in annual variable compensation, paid quarterly. When I asked how the variable pay was calculated, they said employees typically received between 70% and 90% of it. I asked them to send the compensation structure in writing so I could understand the offer properly. Then came the strange part.

She carried this child for nine months and brought them into the world… but little did she know how their story would end. 😳💔 Sometimes, the greatest danger comes from where you least expect it. What really happened between them? 👀😱 Watch till the end… the truth is darker than you can imagine! 🕯️🤫

I hope to see Sylvie in Doomsday. She's too connected to the multiverse storyline to just disappear, especially after everything that happened in Loki. But I wouldn't be surprised if Marvel keeps her role under wraps until the movie comes out plus there are already dozens of characters.

I'm 58, and I've spent nearly 20 years working overseas to give my family a comfortable life. My wife and I have two children. Our daughter, 23, recently landed a good job and has started paying her own bills. Our son, Daniel, is 26 and still lives with us. Daniel has a business degree, but he has no interest in working. A few years ago, I paid for him to pursue a professional accounting qualification. He failed the exams repeatedly, not because he couldn't understand the material, but because he barely studied. Eventually, I stopped paying for the classes. "Dad, you're putting too much pressure on me," he told me. "Daniel, you're almost 27. I'm not asking you to become rich. I'm asking you to learn how to support yourself." He shrugged. "I'm still young. I'll figure things out." Meanwhile, he woke up around noon, spent hours playing football with his friends, and rode his scooter around town without a helmet. Whenever he received a traffic fine, somehow, I was expected to pay it. I had worked through exhausting years abroad, missing birthdays and family occasions, because I wanted my children to have better opportunities. I never imagined that providing them with a comfortable life would make one of them afraid of responsibility....or perhaps simply unwilling to accept it. Last month, I made a decision. I stopped giving Daniel spending money. If he wanted new clothes, expensive outings, or money for his friends, he would have to find a way to pay for them himself. My wife thought I was being too harsh. I told her we couldn't keep financing a grown man's refusal to grow up. Then, two weeks later, Daniel came home looking unusually worried.

i organized our ten-year reunion, and the one question on the sign-up form was "what were you secretly scared of in high school?" it was anonymous. i figured people would write things like "algebra" or "the prom." 118 classmates answered, and i planned to read a few out loud at dinner as a joke. when i sorted the responses on friday night, one answer showed up 61 times, spelled the same way every time. at the reunion, i stood at the mic, said "okay, the most common answer was..." and read it out. "brandon pike." the room went completely silent. a fork dropped somewhere. then, from the back table, a very tall man in a Little League windbreaker slowly stood up.

My company promoted the coworker I trained, then asked me to explain to him how to do the job I was denied. I had worked there for three years. I was the person everyone called when a client threatened to leave, a project fell behind, or a system stopped working. My manager, Rebecca, always told me the same thing. Rebecca: “Keep this up. When the senior position opens, you'll be my first recommendation.” I believed her. When the position finally opened, I worked weekends preparing a proposal showing how I could improve the entire department. Two weeks later, the announcement came. The promotion went to Kevin. He had been on our team for eight months. I congratulated him publicly. Then I walked into Rebecca's office. Me: “Can you explain why I wasn't considered?” Rebecca: “Kevin has a fresh perspective.” Me: “I've been doing half the responsibilities of that position for over a year.” Rebecca: “You're excellent at execution. Kevin has more leadership potential.” I left without saying another word. But the real betrayal hadn't started yet.

IF STEVE ROGERS RETURNED THE INFINITY STONES, WHY DIDN’T EVERY BRANCH TIMELINE DISAPPEAR? One detail about Avengers: Endgame that deserves more attention is what actually happened to the alternate timelines created during the Avengers’ time heist. The Ancient One explained that removing an Infinity Stone could create a branch reality vulnerable to dangerous consequences. Bruce Banner promised that returning each Stone to its original moment would prevent that specific problem. But returning a Stone is not necessarily the same as erasing an entire timeline. The Avengers’ actions could still have changed events in those realities, even after the Stones were restored. Loki’s escape with the Tesseract is one example. So did Steve actually restore those timelines, or only return what was missing?
