Another record-setting milestone for Bruce Power’s Unit 4 Major Component Replacement! 👏 Our team has completed the installation of all 480 calandria tubes, finishing 25 days ahead of the same milestone in Unit 3. The achievement was supported by innovative six-axis robotic tooling developed and refined by Bruce Power, #ShorelinePowerGroup, @ats_industrial and #CalianEngineering. It’s another example of our skilled tradespeople, project team and nuclear supply chain using innovation and lessons learned to advance safety, quality and performance while delivering Bruce Power’s Life-Extension Program. 🔗 Learn more: tinyurl.com/rz9new6x #NuclearEnergy #MadeInOntario #CleanEnergy

Breathing new life into the Nanticoke Generating Station with @WillBoumaBrant, as we announce Ontario is taking the next step to generate power — including exploring Small Modular Reactors. Thousands of people's lives were shattered after the Liberals closed the old plant without a strategy to keep the community employed. This is @fordnation's plan to create long-term jobs, generate firm power, and protect Ontario.

As Ontario faced one of the hottest days of the year, electricity demand reached a record 25,646 MW—the highest single-day peak in nearly two decades. Despite the surge, Ontario's diversified electricity system performed well, firing on all cylinders, thanks largely to the strength of our 24/7 nuclear fleet. Nuclear energy coupled with reliable, scalable natural gas generation — Ontario's insurance policy on days like today. This is why @fordnation government is delivering the largest expansion in nuclear energy on the continent — creating 150,000 jobs and enough power for 16M homes.

Canada’s Nuclear Energy Strategy sends a clear signal: invest in what works. We welcome support for existing assets, isotope leadership, Indigenous participation, competitive incentives and financing tools to scale new builds. This is how we drive energy security, growth and global leadership. We thank Minister @timhodgsonmt and @NRCan for their leadership—and for working closely with industry to get this right. We’re ready to deliver.
Canada has led on nuclear for over 80 years — and our very first National Nuclear Strategy will take us further.

At OPG's Wesleyville site in Port Hope, we're boring deep into the ground to assess the site for its potential nuclear future. As part of the first phase of the project's Impact Assessment, OPG is working with E.S. Fox, Indigenous-owned Voyageur Services, and other local companies to conduct a geotechnical and hydrogeological borehole campaign. The geotechnical campaign aims to bore at 40 locations across the site, reaching depths of between 60 to 120 metres, and is expected to wrap up later this summer. Other ongoing work includes surveys of the area’s vegetation, birds, and wildlife, aquatic and surface-water assessments, as well as archaeological, socio-economic, and traffic studies. This important work is helping advance a potential project that could provide up to 10,000 MW of new nuclear generation for Ontario's clean energy future. Learn more: opg.com/wesleyville
