If you're from a poor home Build or buy a house The people telling you that a house is not an investment are privileged. If you are from the streets and poverty, build or buy That is your stability card After that you can go ahead and take all the risks in this world

Thanks for sharing this. One of the frank conversations I have with any woman close to me is financial independence. Nothing beats that, no matter how rich or wealthy or supportive the man is. Imagine instances like this or when the man is dead or loses his source of income. What becomes of you and possibly your children?
Another day to remember that my mum and dad separated, mum left with us and my dad removed our names as dependents from his health insurance scheme. My mum not knowing, took my convulsing sister with her last money to the hospital only to receive the rude shock of us not being beneficiaries. She trekked home with a convulsing child on her back, funny my sister woke up and is still alive today. A woman without her own money will suffer. PS: dont talk to me about marrying a kind man

I don't want to write a long epistle but in short yesterday is when my wife and I really realized that people are hungry in this country and around us. I will now pay more attention to members of my immediate community and be more economically supportive. I ask that my mutuals please replicate same in their communities too.

Let me share a hack: If the locked phone is more than 3yrs old (from production date), you can easily unlock it without paying a kobo. Go to the website of the carrier it’s locked on, look for “unlock device”, enter your IMEI, and wait for 72hours. Your phone will be unlocked.
Bruh!!! No genuine gadget vendor would push you to buy a locked phone. Locked devices usually come with limitations, so the choice should always be up to the customer.

In 2020, when I interviewed Simisola for the MT Scholarships, one thing stuck with me beyond her grades (6.7/7.0) She said her major drive is to make safer, better and more effective medicines for patients. The confidence with which she said it made me believe her instantly. She went on to win the MT Scholarship. Fast forward to now, she's in her 4th year at Purdue University doing a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences. She’s working towards making drugs so that patients don’t have to swallow 10 pills a day. Just recently, she made it to the Purdue 3MT finals. Top 10 out of the entire university. She will be presenting 4 years of research in just 3 minutes. The competition comes with cash prizes for the winner, Runner-Up and People’s Choice Award. After her presentation, there will be a 15 minutes window to vote for her. Simisola needs our attendance and votes to win this. The event will take place this Wednesday, April 22. Time: 12AM-2AM WAT (7PM - 9PM EDT) You can watch and vote online using this link: youtube.com/watch?v=fKvUPfQr… Simisola is one of ours. Let's support her.

Let’s also address this. Contrary to the public perception about “signing divorce papers” there’s nothing like that in our matrimonial jurisprudence. I blame this on nollywood for misleading the public by copying the American style sheepishly. Under the Nigerian law, there are three known types of marriages: statutory marriage, islamic marriage and Customary marriage. This, dissolution of marriage is dependent on the type of marriage you contracted. 1. If it is a statutory marriage, which is erroneously called “court marriage”, the only way to dissolve the marriage is through a court order. It is through a process of presenting a petition for the dissolution of marriage and going through the entire process of trial and judgment. Upon being satisfied that the marriage has broken down irretrievably, the Court gives Order Nisi which is for 3months and after which the Order becomes Absolute and the marriage is completely dissolved. Neither of this Orders requires the signature of the husband or wife to be effective. It’s a Court Order signed by the Judge and Registrar that ends the marriage. 2. If it is a customary marriage, the return of bride price is sufficient to dissolve the marriage. No formality is required and no document is needed to be signed. Once the pride price is returned, they cease to be husband and wife. But because of the enactments made by the states, customary marriages now undergo judicial processes to be dissolved. 3. Dissolution of Islamic marriages is similar to customary marriages above. Once the man pronounces Talaq three times, the marriage ceases to exist and it may also go through judicial process to be effective. From the above, none of three types of marriages requires “signing of divorce papers” by the parties to the marriage to be effective. Please repost for more people to learn.

I have four kids at home. And I still do this. You work around them, give them tasks too that take some time and let them know you will be “away” for the next 45 mins. If all else fails, do it when they sleep. Good thing about kids is that they sleep way longer than adults. Use that delta in sleeping hours to your maximum advantage.

Most Nigerians don't run away (Japa) from Nigeria because of money. Alot of them are very much well to do. An environment that can't offer you good security, is as deadly as cancer. Give them good security, and watch many of them return without thinking twice. *Imagine a country where @followlastma will chase you to your death? *Imagine a country where you dont know if the @PoliceNG checkpoint you are approaching are the sane men on uniform or the ones that are doing apprenticeship for satan. *Imagine a country where untrained @officialEFCC personnel can break into your house at midnight. *Imagine a country where you can buy a CJN to look the other way. *Imagine a country where a politician can brag about how he or she can unalive you and nothing will happen. There is no hellfire anywhere aside from the one your fellow man makes you walk through just because of greed, power and lack of exposure. Westerners know for sure that a country like NIGERIA is supposed to be mentioned when mentioning top-world countries. But why should they care when they benefit from the national cake? Every one of them is a beneficiary of the National Cake asides from the bakers. And when you complain about why your own cake is not getting to you, guess who knocks? @OfficialDSSNG.

I love America! Someone got permanent residency after 2 years of stay. Nigerians, instead of flocking into UK that isn’t top 10 on the disposal income list in the Europe, apply for fellowships and scholarships in the US. You are guaranteed to have a vertical upward class mobility, no matter your background, as long as you want it

The strategy here is to find such jobs and apply or reach out to the recruiter to express your interest. You automatically stand a higher chance of landing these roles because they have fewer applicants, and your application actually gets seen, increasing your chances of an interview. Luckily for us, LinkedIn's search engine can be queried for such posts using unique boolean operators in your search queries, just like Google's search engine. So, for example, if I were looking for a frontend developer job, I would go to LinkedIn and search for these exact keywords `"frontend developer" AND "hiring."`, then, instead of clicking on the Jobs tab, I would click on the Posts tab. This searches for people (mostly recruiters and HR) who have posted within their network about hiring frontend developers. You can then filter the search results to the most recent, like 24 hours or a week, to get the latest posts as shown in the screenshots below. You can also reach out directly to the posters to express interest or request for interviews. I’d advice doing this everyday for a week or a month and you should find some openings with way less competitions or secured several interviews at the very at least. If you found this helpful, do well to retweet.💛

If you understand politics, you will know that politics ,cultists, and thuggery are all in the same group. You can be at the top without your cult group or your thugs. If you do it, Ile ma je oni tour. There are some info that is not for public domain, but politicians understand

If you want to understand how the election petition tribunal works, go get a copy of the judgment of the Rauf vs. Oyinlola 2007 election. Look at how the Late Adrian Forty, a forensic expert with the Metropolitan Police, Scotland Yard, and M115 broke down cases of multiple voting by identifying similar thumbprints across multiple polling units in 10 local govt areas. Aregbesola’s legal team was led by Ebun Sofunde, and Chief Akin Olujimi, SAN, was the one who argued the case. Other lawyers of the ACN candidate were Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN, Mr. Kola Awodein, SAN, Mr. Deji Sasegbon, and Professor Yemi Osinbajo... Oyinlola was represented by more than 70 lawyers led by Mr. Yussuf Alli, SAN, Tayo Oyetibo, SAN, Kunle Kalejaye, SAN, Bolaji Ayorinde, SAN, Nathaniel Oke, SAN. Irele, Odigbo, Ileoluji/ Okeigbo, Ese-Odo, Ilaje, Akure North, Ose, Akoko North East and Akoko North West. In the case of Mimiko vs Agagu, Adrian Forty gave the percentage of the multiple thumb-printing local government by local government as follows: Akoko North East, 58%; Akoko North West, 27%; Akure North, 50%; Ese-Odo, 67%; Ilaje, 46%; Ileoluji/Okeigbo, 45%; Irele, 47%; Odigbo,49%; Okitipupa, 36%; and Ose, 42%. Further, Mr. Adrian Forty told the court that in the process of carrying out the massive thumb-printing, he stumbled on widespread usage of objects such as pebbles, palm kernels, cashew nuts, wood, and candle ends which were used to vote instead of human thumbs. You can't come to the tribunal with assumptions that you won an election and expect the court to start shopping for clues on your behalf.
