Really troubled by the decision of the US Supreme Court. It is a major step back in the fight for women’s rights.

As the Jan 6th committee hearings begin, we're reminded the Trump administration delayed deploying the DC National Guard.
It's past time for Congress to pass my bill giving the DC mayor control over the DCNG, like the governors of states and territories have over their Guards.

Rest In Peace. Opera legend Jessye Norman. A clarion voice, to hear her sing in person was to be thunderstruck by its immense power. One of the great voices of the past century; incredible presence. Her spirituals recording (w/ K. Battle) remains the definitive voice in my head.
