my ideal lineup against Valencia. we are a serious club, Mourinho is a serious manager and this is a serious game. to them it’s their champions league final. they have had the week for the game we have had less than 2 days.

Jacobo is a no given. you sign him back regardless if you even intend on keeping him because his buy back is piss cheap. I obviously think you should keep him, but if the club has plans to sell him back to Como or another B/C side European side to develop for another year, no problem, as long as you sing a centreback instead. because Rudiger you will let go on a free. it is time.
Paz is an interesting case. i’ve been fairly consistent with him in that we don’t have space for another 10. it would be immensely difficult to balance minutes with him and Arda (Jude is a starter). unless Mourinho develops Arda as the 6 he was talking about this season fully and that’s Arda’s primary position next season. however, I still think that his destiny should not lie in Madrid. we should absolutely again buy him back even if we do not intend on keeping him to sell for higher to another European side. everyone will be coming in for him.
I think in general 1 unless we have an absolutely shocking season and a number of players are absolutely terrible from today until summer - we will be signing limited players in summer of 2027. mainly because we just made 6 signings this summer. at Madrid, that is considered a big window.
a new midfielder is also pretty safe to assume. what kind is the ultimate question. a deep lying playmaker is necessary imo. even if Mourinho develops Arda fully as that and Bernardo’s legs keep up with him.
I genuinely do not think there will be any signings made in the attack. unless Vini leaves. then we might consider looking at others. also, I have seen zero reports telling us Franco is to come back next season. if we do keep him at Fiorentina or loaned out / sold somewhere else, perhaps an attacking signing is necessary. depends on if Vini stays. God forbid something like him, someone like Rodrygo and Brahim (because his contract is expiring next summer and we haven’t renewed it yet) all leave. then you’re definitely looking at signings. perhaps multiple. my prediction is (considering Vini improves and Rodrygo comes back well) that all stay and Brahim is renewed to be sold so he doesn’t go on a free. or he can stay. I’m one of the very few in our fanbase that actually enjoys Brahim and thinks him useful. he provides us something we lack, and he does so from the right.
all subject to the manner the season plays out. Mourinho should be the manager continuing on. that is the most given out of everything.
