Very smart move by the WSOP to take this over and make it focused on the players during a big series. It used to be very focused on industry awards and players wouldn’t come - creating categories focused on the players when a lot of their players are in one place is GTO.
Lot of industry people are going to be upset there awards have been taken away but it gives an opening to someone else to create that or another style award show. Wouldn’t be surprised if they created a second one like movies have different awards for tiers/niches of the industry. Open to investing in anyone building a different version.

Last night, someone named in my book called to threaten me with a lawsuit.
During our brief chat, this guy repeatedly tried (unsuccessfully, obviously) to get me to say I made a mistake in Beneath the Cards. I didn’t. He then told me “I’ll see you in court” and “You done fucked up.”
I spent years meticulously investigating the evidence and events described in the book. And invested a whole lotta money in legal review to help ensure my reporting could withstand legal scrutiny.
I firmly stand by my writing. And have both the resources and resolve to defend it.
And yes, Did Robbi Cheat?, my comprehensive, documentary-style video breaking down the mountain of evidence surrounding poker’s biggest scandal, is still coming in December!

A pair of Pennsylvania lawmakers are seeking to reel in — pun intended — the iCasino operators with a bill that dropped last week. lt would cap online casino bets at $2 or $5 depending on player age, would require games to last at least 15 seconds, would ban autoplay, and more.

These places are just completely brain dead when it comes to gambling. If I owned a casino I’d pay you to park at my casino. I’d give you a 20 dollar voucher if you parked and you have 2 hours to play it in a machine or something. Like what do you think they’re gonna do, win? Who cares if they do. The whole idea of running a casino should be how to get people on your property and to stay on your property.
