You have to make peace as a young person with looking unimpressive or plain for a while, so your wealth can actually grow for the long term

Your developer built the product. But what do your agreements say about who owns the IP? Payment, possession and ownership are not always the same thing. Review the agreements behind the work your business relies on. More on Friday. #StartupFounders #LegalReadiness

In the last 3 years, the work we’ve done @workwithlenora has birthed some incredible opportunities for our clients. We’ve watched clients go on to work with NASA, collaborate on Guinness World Records projects, relocate, land new jobs, bag business partnerships, get promoted to General Manager at a multibillion-naira company etc. It’s been so beautiful to witness. 🥹 And somewhere in all of this, we realised that the work we do as a strategic comms and reputation management company is: helping people build influence from the work they do. So we made something!🥳 Our first-ever playbook, “Build Your Influence in 100 Attempts”, is a little piece of everything we’ve learned about becoming known, trusted, and sought after for the work you do. The idea is pretty simple. Wherever you are on the influence scale, you can make intentional attempts to move higher. And because we want more people to experience what’s possible when they learn to build influence, we’re giving it away for FREE! It goes live tomorrow at Moonshot. 🥹 If you’d like a copy, just lmk in the comment & Our team reps will find you at the National Theatre tomorrow. Speak soon!🥳✨

Jeff Bezos was right, you can be grinding for 4 years with no results, and in the 5th year, you become the biggest thing on the planet. The power of not giving up is real.

you can actually bring your own OpenAI or Anthropic API keys to @cencori. you don't have to throw away your existing provider accounts to use our infrastructure. thought more developers should know this.

One of the reasons so many average people stay poor is because they believe they are special. They believe their life is going to magically change because they're going to get a letter in the mail from magic school inviting them on an adventure. The reality is, we get those letters every single day. They just look like risk and a shitload of work, with no guarantee of a payoff.

The older I get, the more I think “I’ll figure it out later” is one of the most expensive decisions a young person can make. Think about it and execute immediately the thought comes.

Founders should review existing arrangements, not just focus on getting new agreements signed. Sometimes the important question is what an earlier agreement already says.

IP ownership is not just a concern for large tech companies. If your product depends on software, your rights to that software matter.

If a developer left your startup today, could you confidently explain what rights your company has to the code they created?
