Surrey Police has referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct, with the MP for Dorking and Horley claiming in a statement it was for "alleged serious corruption".

This has happened again this evening and there are no trains running from East Croydon in the direction of Oxted.
What's occurring??
🛤️#HurstGreen - Following passengers causing a disturbance on a train in the Hurst Green area earlier today, lines have now reopened.
As services recover, trains running between Oxted and East Grinstead / Uckfield may still be delayed by up to 30 minutes.
Disruption is expected until 18:00.

What's happening here? Maybe something changed part way through 2023 on urban/residential 30mph roads!
I wonder if it could be that from Sep 17th 2023 95% of roads with a 30mph limit were changed to 20mph.

Very poor station announcements from @SouthernRailUK at #oxted station as the 6:23 is effectively cancelled (30 min delay). Passengers were left on the platform who could have caught the 6:19 (departed 6:22) but the announcement of the long delay was only made after it departed.
