It is Muhoozi who wanted to overthrow his father in 2022 not Elwelu. The embattled general thwarted uncoordinated military movement which Muhoes had mobilised to overthrow his father during dictators four days visit to Rwanda.
Upon identifying the uncoordinated movement of the military Elwelu moved fast as deputy CDF and issued a code red alert. There was no need for Elwelu to do it if he indeed wanted to overthrow. The cabbage is fighting Elwelu for blocking his coup.

PLU's registration and endorsement drive is a smart method that no existing organisation has attempted before. It's like an opinion poll, but dealing with real people who have national IDs and contacts, targeting to have more members than the registered voters in the 2026 elections. Some political groups often claim victory in elections based on opinion polls that used random people, who are neither members of the party nor voters, as respondents. On Gen. @mkainerugaba's supposed bid for the Presidency, clearly he has stated that his bid is after H.E @KagutaMuseveni and not challenging him for the seat. Many are misunderstanding this while others are twisting it deliberately to create unnecessary anxiety and friction in the Ugandan public space. PO132 FK

Patriotic league of Uganda is a non- partisan and non-denominational civic organization with it's door open to everyone.
In a semi-serious country, regardless of political affiliation, regardless as to whether you like Gen MK or loathe him, this picture would call for the immediate resignation of Justice Dr. Douglas Karekona Singiza.
This is lawlessness on steroids. No one should wanna live in a country where this is okay.
That’s not to say Judges should be apolitical.
They have as much a right to choose as all other citizens. But this is patently absurd.

CLARIFICATION ON THE VIDEO OF AN ARREST IN KIHIHI
The man in civilian clothing seen being arrested in the circulating video is a retired Assistant Inspector of Police. He is not the OC CID Kanungu, as some social media posts suggest.
The arrest relates to an alleged assault on his biological sister, arising from a land dispute. Police investigated the matter and submitted the file to the Resident Senior State Attorney, who advised that the suspect and his wife be charged with attempted murder.
Two previous attempts to arrest him were unsuccessful after he reportedly evaded arrest.He was arrested yesterday at an anti-corruption rally organized by Hon Balaam Barugahara in Kihihi.
It is alleged that the retired officer resisted arrest and punched officers as they attempted to place him on a police pickup. Officers subsequently used force to subdue him and took him to the Central Police Station.
Yes, we acknowledge the concerns raised about the force shown in the video BUT the reported resistance is relevant to understanding the circumstances of the arrest and does not on its own, settle whether the force used was justified.
We shall look into the full circumstances, including the officers’ conduct and the conduct of the suspect.

Do you remember the Standby Class 1 command he issued while he was still Deputy CDF? No one who is plotting to overthrow a government announces it in advance. Did Idi Amin tell Obote he was about to stage a coup? Have the recent coup plotters in the Sahel ever warned the leaders they intended to remove? Come on!
Elweru has been planning to topple the government for a long time. He has been recruiting and arming rebels. His schemes have now been exposed.
General ELWELU commanded land forces, and was a deputy C.D.F for years. But with all those resources at his command, he never attempted to overthrow the government.
He actually fought and killed people in kasese who attempted to overthrow the same government u are accusing of.
Now at his retirement, without command and resources, u want to tell us that’s when he intends to overthrow government.😂😂😂😂
