Stories of recovery took centre stage in Quetta, where H.E. Ina Lepel, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of @GermanyinPAK met women and men from flood affected communities of Hanna Urak. Families shared experiences of the 2022 floods and the challenges they faced, their recovery journey, and the positive impacts climate resilient homes are having on their lives, helping them rebuild with greater security and confidence.
Every home rebuilt is a step towards a more #ResilientBalochistan.

Climate and disaster resilient reconstruction depends on the people overseeing it on the ground.
Supported by the Government of Germany through @KfW_Islamabad, #UNDPinPakistan, in partnership with the Government of Balochistan, brought together engineers and technical staff from 12 provincial government departments in Quetta for a three-day capacity-building workshop.
The workshop led to strengthening practical skills of the participants in monitoring reconstruction, quality assurance and field verification, helping improve oversight and support safer, more accountable and resilient post-flood reconstruction across Balochistan.
