🚨 WATCH: Mike Gallagher tells @SenatorBanks why normal Americans should care about China attacking Taiwan: 1. It would empower China to hold the world economically hostage and blackmail America. 2. It would catalyze China's pursuit of global domination. 3. It would shatter U.S. credibility, destroy alliances, and trigger a global crisis of confidence in America.

And we wonder why people no longer respect academics . . .
I find it extremely inconsistent that some people will happily portray Mao as the most evil man in history while being completely fine with putting up portraits and statues of Columbus, Churchill, and Napoleon.

The United States cannot let the CCP dictate the terms of technology, privacy, commerce, and communications. America needs to work with its allies and partners to win the AI race and cement the free world's leadership in the global economy, @SenMcCormickPA emphasizes.

If Americans continue to let fears of AI outweigh US interests, they risk dealing a devastating blow to one of the most innovative sectors of the economy. Without American leadership in AI, Beijing will shape the technology's future, @pasracic writes. realclearpolitics.com/articl…

This is probably not wise in a state that remains structurally very Republican. Notable that in formerly Democratic areas like the Mahoning Valley (Youngstow), most Democratic judges (Ohio elects judges) have been replaced by Republican judges.
Ohio Democratic Senate nominee Sherrod Brown just pledged that he will not vote to confirm any Trump judicial nominees regardless of their qualifications. So not only would the Democrats pack the Court, but they will block any new judges to purge the courts through attrition.

A recently released Gallup poll shows that while 93% of respondents in China felt that AI would benefit their country, only 37% of Americans shared the same optimism. For comparison’s sake, the opinions of Chinese citizens are similar to those held by other Asian powerhouse economies, such as Vietnam and Singapore; public opinion in the U.S. is closer to that of Afghanistan." Amazon released this “highlight reel” of the Rocky franchise in honor of the 50th anniversary of the first film. Inject this directly into my soul.

You need to realize how difficult the AMA/hospitals/medical establishment has made it for smart, middle class kids to become doctors. Tremendous debt, low paid and abusive residency and, if specializing, fellowships. Someone like @mcuban who wants to fix health care should start by focusing on medical education.
BREAKING: Rochester General Hospital in New York hired 82 resident doctors. 80 are foreign workers on H-1B or J-1 visas. Only 2 are Americans. 98% of the residency slots went to visa workers- mostly from countries with documented USMLE cheating. Americans got 2 jobs.

Israel is not only not committing genocide, it’s abiding by LOAC, AND providing vaccines and food to the Palestinian people. Correcting the false narrative is necessary to combat the rising antisemitism in the West.

Ok this is clearly a well planned political psyop/political push lobbying set up whatever your want to call it. This is not "spontaneous". This was a well planned set up
The frontier of artificial intelligence is advancing at an alarming speed. Over the weekend, industry leaders voiced support for an idea that the American people and many AI researchers in their own labs have been calling for: We must responsibly slow the pace of frontier AI development. A slowdown is critical in order to ensure AI serves the public interest. Pacing AI development does not mean giving up on this technology’s potential to produce life-saving benefits in fields like medicine — some of which we are already seeing. Rather, it is about setting up sensible guardrails so that AI does not completely escape human control and endanger our safety and collective future. This moment demands the leadership of the United States government. Congress must work at an urgent pace to pass new laws and establish a new federal entity to provide oversight and independent testing for this technology, to ensure accountability, and to protect our wellbeing. We need cooperation at an international level as well. The United States must continue to lead the world in developing AI technology even as we seek to impose common-sense safety standards. This means that the president must do his job to protect America’s interests by pursuing a treaty with countries like China to stop dangerous uses of AI, limit the speed of its development, and adopt global standards for testing.

This is excellent!
Allez construire.
