If you eat low carb meal before 6pm & run out without paying, you get both money gain & weight loss. (Market's so bad, finfluencers exploring strategic synergies with fitfluencers)

Great input, Neil! Check out "Nominal & Inflation-Adjusted Asset Returns in India: A Historical Survey, 2022" (papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.… @SSRN) for an in-depth look at long-term returns. The data reveals a nuanced & ever-changing relationship between equity & gold.#investing #India

"Yes, index funds are an excellent choice and we “actively” encourage young earners to choose them but not before proper goal-planning and its associated responsibilities. Choice of a product alone cannot determine our investment success. It has always been of tertiary importance." @passivefool @lonelycrowd @PassivefundsIn @samdesai62 freefincal.com/the-active-vs…

100% of them are profitable to the government. 😂

I don't understand on what basis they decide to hike these taxes. SEBI recently said only 10% are profiable, so what is the reason for hiking tax? The reason "We(govt) want more money" alone is not justified.

To my (and Pulak's) surprise, Pulak's book released on March 13, ahead of it's planned May release. Amazon India shows Kindle edition available. Unfortunately, no separate India edition (and pricing) yet. In US, hardcover should available in a few weeks. amazon.in/What-Learned-About…

In my latest not-so-humble-brag essay, I look back at March-2020. It feels a while back, but 3-years isn't that long. I rehash some investing lessons that served us well during March-madness & which hold true at all times. As always, nothing new here. buggyhuman.substack.com/p/ma…

That is just wrong advice for everyone.
GO BIG❓ Charlie Munger at $DJCO: I ask, “what is the appropriate % of your net worth you should put in a stock, if you think it’s an absolute cinch? “Well, IF you’re the kind of fellow who’s RIGHT when you think it’s a cinch, the answer is 100%… or maybe 150%.” 🌶️ 1/x 👇

Daily Journal 401k plan, as per Munger, offers zero choices of actively managed funds. Only equity option is passive index fund. He helpfully added that he wouldn't want 95% of active fund managers out there managing his money. @passivefool

What's the poster-child of 2007 retail story worth today? 2007 ed-tech story? 2007 agri-tech story ? 2007 real estate story? 2007 infra story? Answer: roughly zero. Any resemblance to current stories or poster children is purely coincidental.

Latha: MSCI & Nifty have Adani in their indices. Do you think they should not have included them in the first place? Prof D: If MSCI started valuing companies, we'd be in big trouble. Those guys couldn't value a $20 bill in a brown paper bag if you put it in front of them. (1/3)
