Excellent storytelling by Shaun Pollock on team meetings and how it doesn't always help... Perhaps why MS Dhoni didn't believe much in them and at max had a minute or so before games! Also, notice the quality of commentary here compared to what Indians are fed with! 🙏@abcsport

I heard someone say “I don’t feel like myself lately, I must be growing” what a beautiful perspective for uncomfortable seasons.

still remember watching a David Attenborough documentary where he mentioned that at full gallop the Cheetah's whole body is lifted off the ground longer than the times the paws makes contact, so in a way the Cheetah is almost flying.
Incredible slow motion footage of a cheetah running at over 60mph (96km/h), captured at 1200fps by cinematographer Greg Wilson.

The real water reserve is beneath our feet. Soil has the capacity to hold 800% more water than all the rivers put together. But that potential can be realized only when the land has substantial native vegetation in the form of trees, bushes, summer crops, or ground cover that enriches the soil organic content. It is not just about building more dams to store more water. The biggest dam on the planet is the Soil. –Sg #SaveSoil

“The lifestyle of  an entrepreneur  at its core is:  I can take more pain than the other guy, and I'll prove it.” “ There's a zen that can happen when a warrior has fought for a long time. You can get used to it.” “ You almost start accepting it. Like, something bad happens and you don't even get mad.” “ There are benefits.  But you need to make sure you don't get so used to it that it doesn't even bother you. You can get so zen, you're unbothered.” “ There's something special about the extra fierceness of being bothered, being upset about something that is wrong.” — @travisk

Nepal folks, we're hiring two roles urgently at Kantipur: Journalist-Translators (English → Nepali) We're looking for 1-2 full-time journalists whose primary role will be translating stories from English into Nepali, for Kantipur's Nepali-language audience. This is not a literal-translation job. (AI can do that.) We need people who read across English-language journalism, understand both languages, and know how to carry the reporting, tone, and nuance of a story into Nepali. That means good judgment about what needs context, what needs rephrasing, and what makes a story actually land for a Nepali reader. When you're not translating, there will be room to contribute original reporting — in English for The Kathmandu Post or in Nepali for Kantipur. If you're a journalist who can think in both languages and cares about the craft of getting a story right in translation, we'd like to hear from you. Salary Range: Rs. 50K to Rs. 75K per month Email: [email protected] | Subject line: Translation Role
