This guy played a prime Australian legend innings today and Australia had no business being anywhere near this score. He woke up yesterday and he chose violence, and then he chose to make it take all day. He did not look up.
He let Jansen come at him and gave him nothing. He let Nortje strike him on the body and gave him nothing. He let Mulder bowl until Mulder ran out of ideas. He faced 187 balls for 87 and never once looked bored. He watched four partners walk off and changed absolutely nothing. He built 86 with Pat Cummins across 191 patient deliveries. He waited while the innings was dying all around him. He waited while everybody argued about where he bats. He waited until the waiting became the violence.
And then he killed them. He dismantled them. He disintegrated them. He blew that South African attack clean out of the water. Eighty-seven off 187 became 190. This is the innings that wins a Test match. This is the innings nobody expected from this man. This is what the old Australians used to do to you. Kingsmead. Number five. A man nobody could place. What a knock. Matt man, well-done mate.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, a cause so close to my heart. 💗
So this is a little reminder to be familiar with your ‘normal’ and if you notice any changes, make that appointment or call a friend to help.
Near or far, so many people are part of your story as you are part of mine. Xx

Honestly, who was the umpire here? He should have absolutely been defaulted for this. To throw your racquet like that towards spectators and the only thing that saved them was the railing in front. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!
Credit where it's due to Mark McKenzie. Took over from where Graham Wright left off, with ease. Meek for O'Meara. Weddle at Pick 18. Mraz at 35. Bailey MacDonald at 51. Jai Newcombe from Poowong. Ginnivan, D'Ambrosio & Chol for old rope. And then Battle, Barrass, Merrett & King. No panic buys. No overpaying. Just elite list management. #AFLTrade

Hawthorn loses Schubert and Maginness plus 15 and 25, keeps 2027 and 2028 firsts, secures Merrett as well as King, who has kicked only 19 fewer goals than Curnow in the past four seasons. And has 27 and 35 to secure Goater plus a likely 2027 second for Schubert. A spectacular five day period. Rivals barely laid a glove on them. Analysis 👇 heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/w…

"It was great news to see Josh (Goater) choose us. We do have an ageing backline, we don't want to have that gap of age. He has some power, great size."

Riders have rallied outside Victorian Parliament, calling on the Carroll Government to take stronger action on dangerous potholes.
The rally comes three weeks after 71-year-old Peter “Tiki” Mason was killed by a pothole on the Western Freeway at Trawalla.
Rally organisers Michael White and Paul Pohv from Hogs, Cogs and Two Aussie Flogs, named Mr Mason and three others who died on Victorian roads as they addressed the baying mob, which flooded Spring and Bourke streets. > bit.ly/4desBgE
