in the span of like 50 issues of ASM, Peter:
- is beaten half to death
- has his house burned down
- nearly sacrifices himself to save NYC from a missile
- is diagnosed with a terminal illness
- gets his eyeball ripped out of his head
- is beaten even closer to death
Because ao3 hosts so many fics at once, it has to keep a lower profile. So it's a rule for works not to include discussion of payment (this is also true for art posted to the site) just to keep a low threat profile to copyright holders
- Last but not least..........doesn't know that a copyright owner has the right to:

stop people from reproducing or displaying their works, even in part
