I understand PJ Fleck has had his ups and downs. I understand the Gophers laid an egg last week against Purdue. But if, like me, you’re 48 or younger, they’ve never beaten their three biggest rivals all at the same time in your lifetime until today. Choose joy.

It’s pretty cool that someone the caliber of Michael Grady is willing to continue to call games on the Wolves local broadcast despite his shoulder getting tapped for big time national gigs.
The work ethic is insane, and I appreciate every game Grady chooses to come back to where his play by play career took off. It may not last forever, but the gesture to continue to make it work here is incredible.
@JimPeteHoops and @Grady might be the best play by play and analyst duo in basketball. That includes the fancy national broadcasts.

Both can be true:
Luka is an exceptionally talented NBA player. Likely top 5 player.
He's also incredibly whiny and cries the entire game and most people think it's weak.
Great work, Jon. Gonna be a fun year!
The Miami Heat bench got Anthony Edwards going. And LaMelo Ball made sure he stayed hot.
A rollicking debut for a Timberwolves backcourt that figured to be loud all season long.

Whoever decided that interviewing NBA players DURING the flow of the game was a good idea should probably be fired, arrested, and never allowed to enjoy dessert ever again.
Caledonia is now at No. 1 in the state Class 2A football poll.

Byron looks like it is going to hang on and go to its third straight girls soccer tournament. Leads 2-0 with 2:30 left.
Byron star Leah Ellavsky makes good on a penalty kick. Bears now leads Northfield 2-0 with 15:08 left.
Both goaltenders -- Byron's Caylee Boynton and Northfield's Linnea Wilheim -- have had strong games. Fairly busy, both of them.
The first half ends with Byron girls holding a 1-0 lead over Northfield. Very competitive game. The teams met once earlier this season and Byron won 3-1.
Avery Rossow gets Byron on the board, assist from Raegan Kelm. 33:47 left in the first half. Byron leads Northfield 1-0.
I am at Byron, getting ready to cover the No. 1 seeded Bears taking on No. 2 seeded Northfield in the girls Section 1, Class 2A soccer championship.
No. 2 ranked Malea Diehn wins Section 1, Class 3A singles title. Stewartville's Olivia Regal the winner in Class 2A.
