I built a ✅ PDF Accessibility Scanner ✅ to help triage accessibility problems in all your PDFs. No AI here, just pop in a PDF and get a deterministic result.
It’s not perfect, but it is fast, free, and a huge improvement over doing nothing.

Some Canadian government sites are now saying "Lake America", according to the CBC.
I am proud to announce it is still Lake Ontario on GROUNDHOG-DAY.COM — the world's leading, and most patriotic, Groundhog Day data source. Now and Always. 🍁🦫🇨🇦

🇨🇦⚽️ Important FIFA + Canadian tax news!! ⚽️🇨🇦
It appears that Canada gets the highest tax revenue if Team Canada loses right away _or_ wins FIFA 2026! Every other result means Canada losing taxable revenue.
Just another reason why Team Canada needs to win!
🤖 Made with AI

ALT Stacked bar chart titled “Team Canada FIFA Prize Money Allocation by Tournament Finish.” The y-axis shows prize money in U.S. dollars (millions), and the x-axis shows tournament outcomes from Group stage exit to Champion. Each bar is split into red for Canada-sourced income and blue for U.S.-sourced income. If Canada exits in the group stage, all $21.5M is Canada-sourced. As Canada advances through U.S.-based knockout rounds, the U.S. share grows while the total prize money also increases. By the quarterfinal, the split is even at $15.8M each. For the championship outcome, the total reaches $62.5M, split into $23.4M Canada-sourced and $39.1M U.S.-sourced.
As Canada progresses through the competition, more of Canada’s prize money will be taxed in the USA.
Almost every game after group stages results in a lower share of tax revenue for Canada.
However, if Canada wins the FIFA World Cup 2026, we get the highest tax revenue.
🤖New post! The AI compliance quandary🤖
Why don’t we see many public AI services from the Canadian federal government?
I write how the strategic desire to build AI services is likely in conflict with an operational problem of approving them.

18:05 on #GroundhogDay2026:
It was neck-and-neck for a while, but it looks like "Late winter" has it:
- Early Spring: 35
- Late winter: 39
I don't think there's any coming back from this, folks. Keep yer mitts on.

11:45 am #GroundhogDay2026 update
HUGE upset! After trailing all day, "Early spring" has just overtaken "Late winter"
- Early Spring: 32
- Late Winter: 29
Can spring take it this year???

10 am #GroundhogDay2026 update:
- Late Winter: 25
- Early Spring: 19
Exit polling confirms late winter is the clear favourite.
groundhog-day.com/prediction…
Longer winter is ahead! 16 out of 28 groundhogs agree so far.
Remember, a simple majority is all we need, but early voting favours longer winter due to the icy weather on the east coast.
Stay tuned to groundhog-day.com for all your official Groundhog Day predictions!
Early votes are in!
2 groundhogs say longer winter, 1 says early spring.
Expect more updates tomorrow throughout the day as the final counts are coming in, but for those of us looking for an early spring, it is *not* looking good.

Wrong!
I worked on a @CDS_GC team that did research into low-income Canadians' filing habits and sentiments, and we learned that many would _prefer_ a government-provided auto-filing option.
short 🧵 on what we learned
Tax filers were often worried about scams, and about giving their financial data to 3rd parties.
Contrary to @taxpayerDOTcom's post, many filers would actually PREFER a 1st party government-provided filing avenue.
Particularly one that makes filing streamlined.
At the end of the day, this is a win for taxpayers.
The government is not _requiring_ use of this service — use it if you want or use something else, up to you.
In our research, we found many people would benefit from this.
