It takes a bit of time and effort to verify if the person you’re talking to is an impersonator. But it’s harder to get your money . So if you’re unsure, end the call immediately, and verify first.
Fraudsters may pretend to represent banks, the BSP, or government agencies to get you to click a link, share your details, or send money. They may use logos, fake IDs, reference numbers, stolen photos or AI-generated photos of officials to look legitimate.
To stay protected:
✅ Verify through the institution's official website, hotline, app, or verified page
👀 Check official pages for scam or impersonation advisories
❌ Don't engage if you don't recall any transaction with the sender
🧑💻 Never share your OTP, password, 2FA code, or recovery phrase 🪪 Do not share identification or account details via private messages or unofficial channels
📲 Hang up then call the institution back using its official contact details
Remember: PDAX will never ask you to move your funds to an external wallet to "verify" or "secure" your account.
