Luna Park, Palais Pictures & the Palais de Danse, Lower Esplanade, St Kilda, c. 1920–1926. The aircraft hangar like Palais Pictures, built in 1920, stood beside Luna Park until it was destroyed by fire in February 1926. It was later replaced by the iconic Palais Theatre, which opened in 1927. #StKilda #History

Scientists in Japan have figured out how to make cancer cells end themselves. They forced cancer cells to poison themselves by creating a toxin that reacts with carbon monoxide, causing the toxin to only affect cancer cells. Normal cells were unharmed in lab tests.
