Iceland is already much more closely aligned to the EU than Britain - it is part of the single market and within the Schengen border free zone, meaning the free movement of goods and people. People from Iceland can live and work anywhere they like within the EU and vice versa. So why have they narrowly rejected negotiating for full membership? In a world - fish.
